The first issue was unarguably mediocre at best, but the following ones started to get significantly better, #3 was one of the best issues of November's new 52. I hope the new writer will receive Simone's notes for the story arc, because it just started to get interesting.

It's funny how I finally decided to pick up Ultimate Spider-Man vol.1 the same day this article came out...

I always thought the more interesting question is how the research of particular powers would make a positive impact on the world which the heroes are living in other than giving dangerous technologies to the hands of insane maniacs, making them villains against humanity. Of course, in order to invent new things that are able to significantly improve everybody's lives one way or another, these heroes with metahuman abilites would have to sacrifice their precious times to be in a research lab co-operating with scientists, not just looking out for and stopping baddies 24/7. I hate to say it, but logically this would be a more responsible and overall: better choice for humanity on the long run, unless of course we speaking of threats that able to eradicate humanity altogether. I understand the current state of the relation between superheroes and science in comic books serve much better storywise, but as a sci-fi loving guy, for me it would be just as exciting to see the background changing over the course of different stories (perfect example for this would be of course: Watchmen).

Well that's just like your opinion man. I happen to like his personality, I find the name to be cool too and the costume is not a grimdark mercenary outfit dominated by red and/ or black what I find quite refreshing. I think he is a great addition to the roster and I hope he'll remain a great character, making you change your mind about him in the future.

I really wanted to see how he will move around the city, because both Batman and Catwoman had different movement schemes. This trailer is a bit disappointing in this regard.

@Adnan: I cannot really compare the two, only rented the EC. On it's own merits, the movie fails because it's bad editing and even though it clearly had a tight concept behind it, the story was like a sandcastle on a beach: constantly falling apart, yet somehow kept together, but in the end, it was just a ruin. As an adaptation it wasn't that bad, as a fan of the Green Lantern comic books I even felt entertained at some parts, but not enough to feel satisfied when the credits rolled.

@joshmightbe: The mods decide. I hoped someone will enlighten me that the theatrical version, which I haven't seen, is actually better or at least bearable.

"Aquaman may still technically be king of Atlantis, but in his own mind, he's done with it."

Still, it would be interesting to see how Atlantis gets by without Aquaman at some point of the series.

I didn't question Aquaman's stability, I just pointed out the nature of the relationship between him and the citizens he protects. In fact, I like this aspect of the unfolding story arc.
