I don't understand what problem do you guys have with the art, it looks fine from here.

I was always on the edge about J.T. Krul in the past, but I thought he did a fairly good job on Captain Atom. Heck, it was probably my favourite comic book from the JL line's lower profile titles. Please, just don't kill the character off...

Voodoo only started to get interesting, even though the "sudden changes" in the supporting cast foreshadowed a story cut short. The new development with Priscilla and Voodoo not being one and the same person seemed quite unique, I hope they'll find their place in one of the team books (Ravagers maybe?)

Even though Resurrection Man's plot could come through as generic (former douchebag with amnesia finds himself being a hero combined with a running man theme), Dan Abnett writing is excellent here. The narrative, the dialogue, everything is perfect, just the overall story is not that engaging. He should be teamed up with someone who has more experience in plotting, laying down the pattern for an epic that Abnett could build up.

I still cannot wrap my head around what the f&ck is going on with JLI exactly. They said they'll just "rebrand" the title, while the basic idea of a multinational superhero team will remain. Now we have the same number of cancellations as new solicits, just like when they announced the second wave. What the hell will happen with Booster, Kevin Kho, the General after issue 12?! Are they seriously gonne push aside everything related to this title? Because I really cannot see how this many characters would fit in the remaining books. JL would become an unmanagable clusterf&ck, so as Ravagers, they are too old Teen Titans, etc.

I though JLI will only be rebranded for a new title...

By the Team Seven roster it seems like Birds of Prey (Black Canary), Grifter (Cole Cash), Deathstroke and Suicide Squad will be cancelled, yet SS have pretty good sales compared to the other three.

I was almost certain the Talon who escaped during Batman: TDK #9 will somehow play a major role later on, but I never anticipated he'll get his own title.

Amethyst seems to be a nice addition, I heard her series was one of the bests in the 80s.

I'm not sure how to feel about giving an origin story for the Phantom Stranger. The whole point of the character is, well, that he is a stranger.

Please, for the love of Zeus, put Azzarello on the script.

Marvel really should decide if they want to roll with the mullet hair or not. Other than that I kinda dig the costume.

@TheAnnihilator: "Fortunately we can all be aholes about it too."

You are the one who wishes to ordain what other people should and should not read, and I'm supposed to be the asshole here? Riiight...

Tell you what! Let's examine the Moore bibliography, shall we?

Marvelman/Miracleman ~ Captain Marvel substitute

Swamp Thing ~ pre-existing character developed further by not the original creator but Alan Moore

Lost Girls ~ essentially porn with Lewis Caroll's Alice, L. Frank Baum's Dorothy and J. M. Berry's Wendy.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen ~ Victorian literary figures

Neonomicon/Courtyard ~ H.P.Lovecraft homage

Watchmen ~ Charlton Characters

According to your argument none of the above should exist or just should not have been read by others. Even Moore admitted he is totally hypocritical about Before Watchmen and it is a "personal issue" of his.

Watchmen is not a sacred cow. Get over yourself.

I have serious doubts about this. It seems like a cheap cash-in which was pushed because of the overwhelming success of the Avengers movie. The trailer looks nice, but I promised myself I won't hype anything before I see actual gameplay... What I can say this early: I'm not a fan of the art style and graphics quality, but again, I need to see it in motion.

Dem Image titles. Dem DC annuals

Sucks to be a Marvel fan these days when it comes to actual comic books I guess.
