I like a lot about this series so far. The art, the mood, where the direction is going. What I dislike is how Thanos is written. He's becoming more and more of an unintelligent evil brute than the sophisticated mastermind Starlin made him out to be. In this very issue he admitted to his father that he (Mentor) is a greater scientist than him. This is at odds end with a lot of the stuff Thanos pulled off during his run. It just kind of saddens me to see that aspect of the character not be included. Also, why does Thanos care that he's dying? Isn't that what he wants? Also, it's kind of silly that he can't cure himself of the disease. The guy has molecular manipulation and has the intellectual capacity to rival Galactus's scientific prowess. Unless Death herself is the one making sure this disease kills him so that he goes to achieve ultimate power in order to stop it. Meh, I guess I'll just wait for the next Jim Starlin series featuring basically the same characters.

This was actually a pretty decent start. Although I still consider Thanos's true end to be under Starlin's pen with Infinite Finale. However, with his miss handled character in Civil War 2, this was somewhat refreshing. Although I am still annoyed, isn't Thanos's hide out/ home on his ship/abandoned farm planet? Seeing Champion again was fun, although I'm unsure as to how he would feel about fighting Thanos after he basically kicked his ass with one finger blast. Also, ******spoilers*****

Shouldn't Thanos be happy about his condition at the end of the comic? Also, this has happened to him multiple times. Why is this supposed to be a big shock?

Galactus can manipulate his size at his will. His home ship, Taa II, is the size of an average solar system. His usual size, however, depends on who is writing him.

#@kokemabb200: I don't think Thanos will be beat up by the Avengers in the upcoming film. I have faith that they will portray him accurately. What I do have an issue with is how they killed Thanos off in Secret Wars issue 8. He was so out of character it wasn't even funny. I'm not mad that he died, as much as how he died. However, that complaint aside, this was a very amazing finale to a surprisingly good series. While I figured that in the end it would come down to a showdown between Reed and Doom, I think they way they did it was fricking amazing. I only have a couple problems. One, the Beyonder's power being greater than the Living Tribunal's. I hope that this was all something done through TOAA. The characterization of some of the characters seemed off as well. With that said, still an amazing story.

The comic itself was pretty intense. The only thing I really dislike about it was how Thanos died. It just didn't seem right to me. For as many comics I've read with Thanos in them, he's never been that stupid, which makes me think that there is something more going on. Besides that hiccup, it was pretty good.
