@bob74h: Deep Sea King...isn't stronger than Vaccine Man though. There's no point of comparison that suggests that. Unless you're arguing on a purely physical level? In which case Vaccine Man is pretty much fearless, lol. But you're using his blasts so I'm assuming that's not your argument.

What we do know is that Vaccine Man is a Dragon Level threat (described in the databooks), showcases destructive power far in excess of what Deep Sea King demonstrates or has survived*, and in a bonus chapter was considered perhaps the greatest Mysterious Being who had ever appeared (though the Viz Translation describes him as "the largest monster ever recorded", but in this context I don't think that refers to his literal size, but rather his power).

Deep Sea King hadn't appeared yet by this point, sure...but like, he's never hyped up this much. It's all used as a set-up: to hype Vaccine Man up as this unbeatable guy only for Saitama (or King :P) to effortlessly destroy him.

*In the manga anyway. Genos' blasts are a lot more extreme in the anime, and to be fair the thread allows for composite feats. I don't remember if Vaccine Man's opening blast was similarly exaggerated in the anime though. But in-universe at least, he's meant to be a lot stronger, and the depictions in the manga reflect that.

Deep sea king has better feats then vaccine man, that's the only thing to compare then based on logically

He was the greatest thus far, that' what it says but given elder centipede was revealed to exist earlier then this guy then surely it's just wrong

@bob74h: Er, what does Vaccine Man have to do with Deep Sea King? I'm not arguing for one or the other here, but that just seemed weird to me.

I don't remember Armstrong chucking around Metal Gear Ray either, unless that's in the DLC? Haven't played that yet. I don't doubt he could though, since Raiden did it (in a weaker body, no less). Raiden also slammed Excelsus, which was way bigger, and a more impressive feat I think.

Deep sea king is stronger then vaccine man and it's a point of general consistency, characters consistently survive and output city plus attacks.

It was raiden, who fought ray not armstrong but he scales to raiden anyway
