Lol, Hickman already wrote thor regaining his worthiness just before him and hyperion died fighting beyonders; he couldn't wield 'thorrs' mjolnir anymore because it required the user to be unworthy.
What a great moment in a great run. Hickman certainly made the most out of a bad Thor situation.
I have never liked Ramos. He was a reason why I stopped buying Amazing Spider-Man. However, whether it is the inker or colorist, but from the preview, this is best I have seen him.
Agreed. I tolerated the art in Spider-Man but his X-Men is crazy cluttered & busy.
@bloggerboy: Honestly I don't think so, superman was literally a sexual for Donner's films, hell even Donner's films are completely dated and even Superman TAS, is completed overshadowed by all the animated series. I am not saying that I want ham-fisted Jesus metaphors, but I would bet 1000 dollars an all-star superman boyscout would not work. There is a reason the silver age did not last forever, it got boring seeing the basic concept of good vs evil and add on supermans power set, I hardly doubt it would work.
Well All-Star Superman won an Eisner award. I thought the animated feature was great too considering how much was cut out. Then again the same could be said about The Dark Knight Returns but BvS wasn't all that well received. Maybe because it tried to adapt the Death of Superman among other things.
Of course I'm not saying to adapt that story. But the tone and philosophy behind it, silver age visuals and a hopeful view of the future but updated to modern day.
Another example would be Jonathan Hickman's revered run on Fantastic Four and FF. That style could work with Superman.
If that's too black and white for modern times go for Hickman's Avengers and New Avengers runs.
High concept sci-fi with intricate plotting evolving around classical characters.
