Snoke could very well be Plagueis, if they completely throw out the species. Plagueis was a Muun, and Muun's typically have tall heads with flat noses.
@i_like_swords it's okay, we all have our own preferences. Like my obvious disdain for Savage, although I am now coming around to see his abilities and feats, begrudgingly of course, but I'm giving the devil his due.
When you look at Bane and Zannah, she didn't have the power or dueling ability to defeat him, but her sorcery was her trump card.
Sidious and Maul, obviously there's no way Maul would have ever been able to overpower or out-duel his master, but perhaps he had other abilities that could have enabled him to defeat Sidious. Is it possible that Sidious blocked Maul's connection, hindering him so that he could use Maul and Maul would never try to overthrow him?
@freesid_stf123 That's what I'm thinking. For Sidious to choose Maul as an apprentice, he must have had tremendous potential, but that was obviously cut short. A Sith Master should always choose an apprentice that can one day overthrow them, that's the design of the Rule of Two. It would make sense that Sidious sensed Maul's great power, but then again, did Sidious know how powerful he himself would become?
These are all "ifs", of course. I didn't state that very well, I apologize. If we go by accolades, and we have a 10 be the highest, then Yoda, Luke, and Sidious certainly belong there, and since we see Luke's interaction with Krayt at the end of FOTJ Apocalypse, we see that he is comparable in power to Luke.
I think if you were to do a system like that, you would have to say Level 10, and broken up into different Tiers. So, Yoda would be a low Tier Level 10, Sidious a mid Tier Level 10, and Luke as a high Tier Level 10, with Krayt either on Sidious or Luke's level. Again, this is all speculation, and I'm not saying to go by this system, just an example.
Well if you were to place Yoda, Sidious, and Luke as 10's, and Plagueis and Caedus as 9's, it is certainly possible for a 9 to beat a 10. It's even possible for an 8 to beat a 10, but not likely. Some people would say that characters like Bane and Malgus are an 8.
And here's another issue: Darth Krayt was a rival in power to Luke, correct? So, that makes him more powerful than Sidious. He started out, however, as a regular Jedi Knight, turned dark sider, that lost to ROTS Kenobi. So, he was perhaps a 7-8 as a Jedi, and eventually, over a very long time, grew to be a 10.
@emperor339I posted a recent Battles thread, Plaugeis vs Luke, and people are saying that Luke would absolutely slaughter him. But, they also think that Plagueis would slaughter Caedus, who was nearly equal to Luke at his peak. It's very inconsistent.
I suppose that Jaina is perhaps the Obi-Wan to Luke's Yoda. She's not incredibly powerful, but incredibly well rounded. In my opinion, her piloting skills are her greatest skill set.
