Wait, wait, wait, can you clarify what you mean by your favorite character @sirdragonfly ? Just because from what I've seen so far, Soldier Boy seems like a racist, child abusing terrorist. I definitely don't think the show wants us to like him.

I don't understand the link between same sex relationships and incest, why would including LGBTQ characters mean writers would include incest relationships? That seems like a strange leap to me.

Yes, I agree on the part about the 10 Rings. I didn't give them to Shang Chi because I think it's safe to say it would not be a fair fight in the least if he had them. But without the rings, I thought the fight would be pretty even given they both have slightly enhanced physicals, and while Danny has more damage output, Shang Chi's armor lends him greater durability. But give him the 10 Rings as well, and this fight will be over before it began.

Sorry I should've specified I meant Danny with full chi powers but no firearms. Basically it's the version we most consistently see, but the guns were interesting in the final episode.

So I hear all of your arguments that Wenwu's 10 Ring strike should be more powerful than Danny's chi amped punch, and I definitely agree that Shang Chi's armor demonstrated it could tank a full force chi punch. I even would go so far as to say I think Wenwu with the 10 Rings would stomp Danny in a fight.

However...

I don't believe Wenwu was fighting his son with the full brutality he was capable of. Not to say he was completely holding back, but he wasn't going for things like head strikes with the 10 Rings. Despite appearances, I personally got the impression he was holding back from any killing blows against his son. All this to say, I'm not sure we can scale Shang Chi to everything his father was capable of with the 10 Rings outright, only scale his armor to the 10 Rings in terms of durability.

But while Shang Chi has Danny outclassed in durability, he still has vulnerabilities where his armor does not cover and I can't help but feel Danny has better speed and strength feats, although it would appear to me Shang Chi may have superior skill feats.

I'd prefer to avoid debating in my own battle post, but just some thoughts I'd be curious to hear your responses to.

I see people voting, but would anyone like to make an argument or explain their vote?
