@outside_85: That's not exactly a new practice or anything. DC and Marvel at least have been doing that pretty consistently for the past couple of years.
Hmm, I haven't noticed tbh, just a thing I fell over this time.
Yeah it's kind of annoying but you get used to it after you start to notice it. I'm pretty sure the last time I took note was Spider-Verse i'm not mistaken but I wouldn't be surprised things like Forever Evil and Secret Wars did it in their earlier issues to if you checked.

I really enjoyed Landis' Superman Death and Return pitch and you could tell that he's very passionate about Supes and his mythology when he was going over it so I'm really looking forward to his miniseries
I don't really get the hate for the name. At worst it's underwhelming but it's far to simple to be outright bad. For any other movie I might agree that Vol.2 is a weak name but it fits the mix tape theme of the first movie so while not mind blowing it's a perfectly fitting name that fans of the property will instantly understand and non fans will at the very least be able to instantly get that it's a sequel and not go in unprepared.
Oh these one-character-humiliating-another-character covers... I'm starting to get sick of them. Is it so goddamn hard to think of something more original?
That actually is a pretty unreasonable request, I mean think about how many covers come out every month, not just from the big 2 but just period. Yes we do often get to see some really imaginative and creative covers but expecting every single one to be original is just plain out impossible. When we get cover runs like what X-men legacy had a while back it makes up for the industry standards every now and then.
