Oh I couldn't agree more with all of you. Even some old timers need a little reminding. I had an unfriendly interaction with friend on a different list, who has a tendency to forget on occasion that not only is his opinion only an opinion, everyone else has a right to theirs and jumping down people's throats and climbing up nostrils over disagreeing with him and felt so inclined to write an open letter to all fanboys. To be fair, I think it could apply to some fangirls as well. No one could ever possibly know everything about anything so asking questions and offering up opinions (bearing in mind people may not agree) shouldn't ever be a free invitation for ridicule. Spelling errors should be overlooked in my opinion, but hey, that's just me. By the way, I totally consider myself a newbie, there's so much to learn and read. I jump around, pick up trades and such as I can but really have only a small group of core characters I follow, mostly with Marvel. I've tried DC but sometimes the writing just doesn't work for me.
But I really want to say, I appreciate and respect the respecting of other people's opinions. I'm giving you all invisible but heat repellent gold stars right now.
