Pray For Gordon Hayward!

As some of you may know if you were watching the Celtics V Cavs game last night, Gordon Hayward suffered a gruesome injury.

Gordon was coming off a backdoor screen set by Al Horford when Kyrie threw him a lob. As he jumped Lebron got a piece on the ball, but it seemed like a combination of jumping into Lebron (Gordon is clearly smaller than Lebron) and Jae Crowder, sent him falling the wrong way. And sadly, Gordon fell in an awkward way, many assuming he had just broken his leg. It was later confirmed it was a fractured ankle, and Hayward is most likely going to miss the entirety of the season. The injury was clearly stunning to both teams. You can see Dwyane Wade kneeling and praying, Lebron, Tristian, and Crowder contemplating what just happened, and Rose and the bench cringing. It looked like Kyrie was crying as well. I would've posted this yesterday after the game, but I was far too tired. On his way getting carried out, Lebron, Love, Wade, the Cavs bench, Kyrie and the entire stadium showed their respect and the crowd cheered for him as he was carried out. It was crazy for me at the minute, because as the announcer says it's crazy how quickly a season can change. Regardless if you're the opponent or not, no player wants to see this happen to a fellow player. #PrayForGordonHayward

Ranking The Top 5 Shooting Guards In The League

5. C.J. McCollum

No Caption Provided

C.J. is one of those weird cases of players who go from alright, to All Star talent. It's the reason he won the 2016 Most Improved Player Award. Finally healthy he's averaging an impressive 25 points per game. Last season he ranked top 10 in pick-and-roll scoring and and 25 in spot up shooting. Plus it helps that he's part of an elite back court duo with Damian Lillard.

4. Jimmy Butler

No Caption Provided

Jimmy "Buckets" Butler has been fairly clutch as of late. He's currently top 10 in clutch time stats this season and averaging around 25 points like C.J. What makes him better however is Butler's superb defense. He's one of the few very talented two way guards, or for that matter players in general.

3. Klay Thompson

No Caption Provided

You know Draymond Green is a a heck of a defender when the dude pictured above isn't the best defender on his team. That's the sad thing to. Klay's defense is superb but yet it goes completely un-noticed by most. You'll be hard pressed to find even TWO players that are better than Klay at timing when to come off screens. And it's a pretty big deal too. If you go too early the pick plays it's purpose. If you go too late, player you're attempting to defend will likely have already popped a shot. He's currently averaging just above 20 points and I have him above Jimmy because of slightly better defense and IDK being one of the best 3 point shooters ever. And in dark times for the Warriors when KD is out Klay has risen to the challenge and has become more valuable to the Warriors than ever.

2. James Harden

No Caption Provided

I see the pitchforks already. The 3rd leading scorer, leader in assists, and has carried his team to the 7th best record in the league and 3rd in the West? Who could be above him? Well if it helps at all I can tell you I spent quite a lot of time jumping Harden up to 1 then back to 2. But let's get to why Harden deserves to be in the Top 2. For one, he IS the Mvp for me (but I think #1 also has a fair case.). He's taking mediocre players, and turning them into a team to be reckoned with. On top of that he's dropping buckets upon buckets. Players really should be fearing the beard. Unlike Klay, which just happens to be Klay's largest flaw (In my opinion at least) Harden is one of a 2 players who can create his own shot as efficiently as the number 1 pick. On the other hand a large percentage of Klay's shots come assisted.

Honorable Mentions:

-Dwyane Wade (Ageing and health has really brought him down)

-Victor Oladapio (Fantastic defender, but offensive game leaves much to be desired)

-Andrew Wiggins (I really wanted to put him on this list but CJ really has the better case over him. I can definetly see him next season)

-J.J. Reddick (Great 3pt. shooter. Like Klay a large % of his shots come assisted but Klay is a far superior defender.)

1. DeMar DeRozan

No Caption Provided

Yes I'm bias!! I don't care! On a more serious note though I have DeRozan over Harden for a couple reasons. For one I had Harden on this list for one reason. His outstanding ability to make other players better and his scoring ability. But no matter how you cut out, no matter how you put it JAMES HARDEN IS A PISS POOR DEFENDER. He also can't match DeRozan's mid-range game or ability to get to the paint. He's not the same isolation player DeRozan is. He's not the athlete DeRozan is. And when it comes down to it work ethic goes to DeRozan. Think about it. He overcame un-refined skills with hard work. He went from a liability on defense to a competent defender. So the minute Harden becomes a competent defender #1 spot belongs to him. And if DeRozan can pull the Raps out of the 4th seed in the East, to 3rd so they can avoid Cleveland in a potential 2nd round match up to save any confrontation til the conference finals he is the MVP in my book. Because he would've had to do so with an inconsistent JV, Serge Ibaka and WITHOUT all star Point Guard Kyle Lowry. Because let's be honest. Boston nor Washington is taking Toronto in a best of 7 series. The 2 truly best teams in the East are Cleveland and Toronto. But injury to key players would lead others to believe otherwise.

Now I'm just waiting for the haters :(

Raptor's loss streak proves DeRozan is a true MVP Candidate

No Caption Provided

At this point a few of you may be wondering "Why tf does this kid keep making blogs about DeMar DeRozan and The Raptors?". Well just hear me out because this won't be ALL about DeRozan. I'm going to be talking about another underrated MVP candidate as well as rank my MVP favorites as of now.

As a lot of you may know The Raptors are LOSING. Losing to teams they shouldn't be losing to like Orlando, Charlotte, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Phoenix, etc. And if I'm being blunt I really don't think they should be losing to even Boston. A lot have accounted to their recent lackluster defense (which is a huge part of it). Others have blamed it on certain players like Jonas and Lowry (which really is far from the truth). I firmly believe however it's the recent loss of DeMar DeRozan and his injured ankle. For those who don't know DeRozan has missed a number of games during this streak due to his ankle. But I must let readers know this streak also started when Patrick Patterson (Power Forward) sat a number of games due to an injury of his own. Who the superior player is, however is obvious. DeRozan has also been in and out for a little while now. However he missed out in their latest game (and loss) against Orlando just yesterday. They've gone 2-3 of their last 5 games without DeRozan which is a noticeable change. Before I say what I'm about to say I have to make it known just how huge of a Kyle Lowry fan I am. I firmly believe he's the best PG in the East, over Kyrie Irving, Isaiah Thomas, John Wall and others. I've even tried to make the case that Lowry is better than Westbrook (key word: TRIED). But the fact of the matter is, DeRozan is a bigger asset to Toronto and is currently the superior player. And this streak makes that clear. This streak also makes it clear that without DeRozan, the Raptors are at a loss (see what I did there?). That is a true showing of an MVP. Every time I bring up DeRozan as MVP someone dismisses it because "He has a great supporting cast". And while I can't deny that Lowry, JV, Patterson, and Caroll are all assets they're simply not winning without him. And as a result the Celtics have now taking their crown as the second seed in the Eastern Confrence. Now this is my prediction. DeRozan is going to come back, start a game FULLY healed (discounting that game against Orlando) and is going to show out. Within a matter of games they will quickly dethrone the Celtics and rightfully claim their title as second in the East.

Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen I present to you the Top 5 MVP Candidates of the 2016/2017 season. Just to clarify MY definition of MVP. A player who brings what no other player can bring to their team. A player who proves through showings that their team could potentially win a lot less, and lose a lot more without them.

Honorable mentions:

These are the type of players that have MVP caliber talent but really just have too many great players around them to truly be called the MOST Valuable Player.

-Steph Curry, Draymond Green and KD

I know I'm gonna catch heat for this but when you are the best team by far because you have multiple superstars it gonna be hard for me to have you as a true MVP.

-Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis could have a case for best player. But again the best player in my opinion isn't the MVP. Davis has carried his mostly horrible team to a respectable 12th in the West but when James Harden, and Westbrook can carry their teams to a Playoff spot they and others are more deserving. I do however think he should win Defensive Player Of The Year.

-Kyle Lowry

I feel like I just bashed Lowry in what I just wrote and I hate that. Lowry should've won MVP last year over Curry. Again I think MVP belongs to the person who did the most for their team not the best player. Last season Warriors still had Klay Thompson, Draymond and Iggy while Lowry really only had DeRozan who wasn't as good a player as he is now. DeMarre Caroll and JV were PRONE to injury, Patterson wasn't as huge an asset as he is now and Bissy only showed out during the Playoffs. Lowry was the Raptors saving grace last season kinda like DeRozan is for the Raptors are now and Lowry sure is one of them two-way guards.

1. James Harden

No Caption Provided

James Harden is literally the epitome of what I defined MVP as. Right now he's doing EVERYTHING for Houston. Tell me how does it make sense that Houston goes from being the 8th seed in the west with a Top 10 Center in the form of Dwight Howard ALONG with James Harden, loses Howard to Atlanta, then goes to 7th in the NBA with a relatively unchanged roster?! James Harden! That's how! Harden has been playing out of his mind! I watch a lot of basketball channels on youtube and I think one of my favorites, Mike Korzemba sums this up perfectly.

2. Russell Westbrook

No Caption Provided

Russell freaking Westbrook. This guy just had his 25th triple double, has the most of all active NBA players including LeBron, the greatest athlete in the world and is currently the first player to average a triple-double since "The Big-O" Oscar Robertson. At this point the only other players Russell really has is Victor Oldapio who's only real asset is perimeter defense, Enes Kanter who overall is pretty mediocre and Steven Adams the only one of the three player I just mentioned is moderately good (however at this point he has amazing unlocked potential). Russ, with these players is averaging 10.3 assists showing that he's truly turning these players into role players. OKC is currently 7th in the West.

3. DeMar DeRozan

No Caption Provided

I just wrote a crap-ton about him but dang! Recently passed Chris Bosh for the Raptor with most points, averaging near 30 points (28.4 to be exact) and recently ended a 4 game 30 point streak. For those saying that a nearly 6'8 guard should be pulling in more rebounds that isn't exactly his job. Especially when you have a player like JV on your team. However I want to remind people of his near triple-double games when he pulled in double digit rebounds with his season (and career) high being 13 rebounds.

4. Paul George

No Caption Provided

For those wondering, PG13 is the underrated MVP I was talking about. Unlike DeRozan I don't even think I've heard Paul George mentioned as a candidate. With recent back-to-back 33 point games and defensive prowess I firmly think that PG is the second best player in the East behind LeBron. Aside from Myles Turner who still hasn't fully developed into a superstar just yet, PG was the only superstar on the Pacers and has put them on his back for quite the while now.

5. LeBron James/Kawhi Leonard

No Caption Provided

Perhaps the only exceptions to my rule are these two. However I have them here for two separate reasons. For Kawhi he did what I thought would be impossible. He filled in the void that Tim left after he retired. And for many games Kawhi was the saving grace for the team. For example earlier this season Greg Poppivich RIPPED the Spurs when they almost lost to the 4-11 Mavericks. Everyone knew the saving grace was Kawhi Leonard. And with the recent news about the Cavs and their disgusting loss streak which continues to expand LeBron and Kyrie are the only players to truly show out.

DeMar DeRozan Starting All-Star!!!

I would insert "We Made It" if it wasn't so trash! :P

DeMar DeRozan surpassed Dwyane Wade for second guard and eventually was in a dead tie with Isaiah Thomas. But in the new voting system that also included fans and media DeRozan beat out the Celtic's starting PG. I couldn't be prouder of you! I act as if you're reading this which you're probably not but its okay anyways! You're like the coolest guy ever (tied with Allen Iverson. Respect) and you totally deserve this man! Your devotion showed work ethic could overcome un-refined skills and I know things will only get better for you. You deserved every single vote you got and you deserve to not just stand among the East All Stars but to start in the game of the world's greatest athletes! I couldn't be happier for you and now you're the 4th Raptor to start as an All Star. You're a champion in my heart even if you haven't won a championship yet. And I'm POSITIVE the latter will change within 3 years.

On the other hand, Lowry I'm also your biggest fan and I would've wrote something like this for you too I swear it!

Lowry and DeRozan are getting snubbed for All-Star Game!

Please for those who literally auto-voted Kyrie and Wade or NBA fans in general please read this because I feel DeRozan and Lowry are being robbed of being All-Star Starters. But fear not for it's not too late! If I convince you you can always vote for them at http://www.nba.com/article/2016/12/25/2017-all-star-vote-official-release Or vote through Twitter, Facebook or The NBA app! but you'll have to hurry because voting ends today! And believe when I tell you if this doesn't get 5 responses every 5 minutes I will BUMP IT! I'll stay up all night if I have to and I got school tomorrow!

Imma start off by saying something pretty bold but... DeMar and Kyle are the best current backcourt duo and one of the greatest of all time. Lowry's court vision and more specifically for DeRozan is unparalleled in the East. In fact I think Lowry is a better player than Kyrie (come at me Cleveland fans!) and is the best 1 guard in the East topping Wall as well. Don't believe me?

And of course as everyone knows DeRozan is on FIRE.

Just a few days ago he killed it VS. the Celtics turning the game around in their favor.

And of course he can show off and is a FAR better dunker, than Terrence Ross (you don't brick a windmill dunk and get away with it -_-).

But um he's a Raptor. And of course Dwyane Wade USED to be one of the greatest SG of all time. With all due respect to Flash he's out of his prime and DeRozan is verging on his! He's dropping 30 pts. every other night! He has multiple 40 pt. games! He's verged on a triple double more than once! And D-Wade averaging around 20 pt.s a game. Even defensively DeRozan surpasses him in rebounds. Listen all time Dwyane IS superior. But we're talking now. This season. And D-Wade simply isn't showing out. At this point he's being outperformed by Jimmy Butler. And with an elite scorer and his team Lowry's still holding his own with around 7 assists and 20 points as well as 5 rebounds at only 6' 1. And of course DeRozan who I have gone on to say (and create a blog about) is the most underrated player currently is till behind D-Wade and a starting spot. So please if I have in any way convinced a fan that DeRozan and/or deserves to start go ahead and vote for them/him. They really deserves it. And of course if you don't think so screw you it's alright because everyone's entitled to their opinion. Good day to you all :)

Is DeMar DeRozan Underrated?

No Caption Provided

I'm gonna say something people are probably gonna feel ways about... but DeMar DeRozan (IMHO) tops Lowry, Bosh and even Carter as the greatest Raptor of all time. He's currently the 4th leading scorer (29 pts.) in the 16/17 season, near the beginning he was first (30 pts.) despite only getting 22 points last season (still fantastic) which is a HUGE change. He's one of the most agile and arguably the strongest shooting guard in the NBA. Yet despite all this nobody focuses on him because he plays for the sole Canadian team in the NBA and most viewership comes from America -_- Don't get me wrong the Raptors are a fairly popular team but it seems the majority of people who notice DeRozan are the NBA (It's pretty much their job to) and Raptors fans. To prove my point I'll start getting into why I think DeRozan is an underrated player.

3. Erased from MVP discussion...

No Caption Provided

I have to admit early on when he was dropping 30 to even 40 (he's had quite a few 40pt. games this season the latest, not being too long ago.) points many had him up there for potential MVP. But the second he comes back to earth and starts putting (a still insane) 29 pts. and quite often, 35-40 points a game BAM. Never heard of as a candidate again. Even in the Easter Confrence discussions I've heard! Wanna guess which player isn't there even though he fully deserves to be there? Here's a hint: It's #10.

2. Most effective player and no one realizes it

Everybody burns DeRozan for his "inability to shoot three's" (I'll get to that in a sec.). Yet despite that people forget or just ignore the way he has MASTERED the mid-range jumper. Guess who wasn't up at 1 and remained within Top 5 in scoring this season? Curry. Harden. Thompson. All notorious 3pt. shooters. And yes his 3pt. percentage is borderline DISGUSTINGLY low for a shooting guard he has shown the ability to hit threes when they matter the most. Key Phrase: When they matter. This is why DeRozan is one of the leading scorers over other elite shooters. He shoots high-percentage shots. He takes those dunks (it helps that he's a physical BEAST) takes the 2 pt. shots that just build up and up. It's why the Raptors have consistently topped the freaking Warriors as top offensive efficiency team. Not to mention DeRozan recently passed Chris Bosh as the Raptor with the most points.

1. Fallen Prey To Overrated Players

No Caption Provided

First things first picture above is just compilation of SG's. Not all of them are overrated. Wehn I say overrated I'm not saying said player is bad just that their abilities and what people say their abilities are, are two different things (ability>hype). Think about it. Prime example is Jimmy Butler. He's a great player and can finish in the paint. But because he plays for one of the most popular teams in NBA history (arguably 2nd behind maybe the Lakers or Warriors.) his abilities automatically get hyped. The only thing Butler is superior in is defense (namely blocks and boards) on the other hand DeRozan is a much bigger threat offensively (Currently Points: 27.5 {D} >24.5 {J} Assists: Closer however JB gets .7 more) So pretty close defensively and DeRozan takes a bigger edge offensively yet because of hype and popularity JB is considered "clearly superior". Not to mention currently Butler has an elite player in the form of Dwyane Wade. The same could arguably be said for DeRozan (Lowry) but overall Wade is better than Lowry. I could go on with more comparisons but I'm too tired this should suffice.

I know people who think he's overrated. So what do you guys think?

Uncharted 5? Nathan Drake Left Behind?

What cheesed me even more?

I'm probably over reacting....

However I don't think it's right for another studio other than Naughty Dogs to do this. Sure there are better studios but I trust Naughty Dogs to handle potential new protagonists introduced from Uncharted 4 or other such as Sully, Elena, Sam, Cassie. I also calmed down a bit when reading on finding that Nate would not just disappear and just not be a part of it entirely.

Read it all if you want
