I assume that it has to mean that. I wouldn't describe a force storm as anything even close to an 'electric beam'. Force lightning on the other hand fits the description far better.

There's nothing inconsistent about Palpatine's high levels of power. The fact that you don't care for the EU doesn't invalidate it as canon. It's not fan fiction no matter how much you may wish it to be so.

I have to assume Wanda would win due to toonforce. Honestly though, toonforce powered characters should be banned from battle threads along with omnipotents.

@Picard: Gandalf requires the direct intervention of Eru to be resurrected. Eru isn't in this battle.

It would be nice if people actually knew anything about LoTR characters before they try to make a case about them using nothing but non-canon sources and twisted logic.

How is it that LoTR threads are never locked by mods? This is a huge mismatch. There is no way Gandalf can stand against a guy that can telepathically dominate entire planets, wipe star fleets out of existence with a wave of his hand, and can one-shot him in any number of ways before Gandalf could even move.

I think Batman's intelligence is being overestimated here, there is no information of how difficult it is to cure the zombie plague. Superman on the other hand wins with extreme ease.

I agree that Gandalf has been shown to produce a variety of effects, but just because he's a wizard there is no reason for me to believe that this variety should be considered to be endless. I'll also point out that Sidious knows all of the Darkside abilities and is a powerful Sith sorcerer and alchemist on top of that. If anything, it would be far more reasonable that Sidious has a much vaster array of abilities than Gandalf, as the Force in Star Wars has consistently been shown to provide a far larger array of abilities than magic in LoTR.

If Sidious has magic on top of the Force, then it may be all over for Gandalf. I think I have heard oblique references to that before, but has it ever been shown at all? Just curious.

His most often used example of Sith sorcery is his essence transfer ability, which he can use to body snatch if he gets killed, which happened at least twice.
