@AngelFrost: i so agree!! missy was killer in stick it! (disclaimer: i did NOT watch the entire movie only saw the workout session she did, so this canNOT be used against me)..... she is even better on rookie blue! it's either missy or jessica biel for me. charisma carpenter would have been nice too, a looooong time ago of course.
with all of the ones that have been made so far, it leaves me with no hope for the ones that are "rumored" to be in developement: red sonja, she hulk, witchbalde and the infamous wonder woman.
ps....*the casting of rose mcgown as red sonja is enough to make me gag*
@Crom-Cruach: i agree! look at what happened with catwoman. yes halle berry is a very sexy mama, but her looks alone of course could not carry that movie. not only was the director a piece of crap but even her costume was made more for sex appeal then actually functionality. i'm sorry but no woman can kick but in open toed heels, come on ppl!
I've discussed this for a very long time. There have been many heated debates as to why female comic book/ video game/anime movies just don't not seem to gain the respect that they deserve. Some say the story lines are too weak ,others argue that the studios have decided not to waste money in trying to make them blockbuster hits. I myself personally believe its a mixture of both.
