Good stuff. You ought to include the statements, too, though, for completeness's sake.
Roku: “One hundred years ago, Fire Lord Sozin used that comet to begin the war. He and his firebending army harnessed its incredible power and dealt a deadly first strike against the other nations.”
Aang: “So the comet made them stronger?”
Roku: "Yes. Stronger than you could even imagine."
Avatar: The Last Airbender - "Avatar Roku"
Ozai: “Yes... Yes, you're right, Azula. Sozin's Comet is almost upon us and on that day it will endow us with the strength and power of a hundred Suns. No bender will stand a chance against us.”
Avatar: The Last Airbender - "The Phoenix King"
Did you know? Benders can be affected by certain celestial bodies.
... For example, comets give firebenders unimaginable strength.
This might prove that benders don't just have a connection with Earth ...
... But with the entire universe.
Avatar Extras: Sokka's Master
Fire Lord Sozin was 82 years-old when he began the war.
... And he lived to be 102 years-old.
Some say the comet's power is what allowed Sozin to live for so long.
Avatar Extras: The Avatar and the Fire Lord
Recap: Every hundred years Sozin's Comet returns.
... And the comet increases the power of firebenders one hundredfold.
Avatar Extras: Ember Island Players
Team Avatar versus ultra powerful Ozai.
... It's going to be a close match.
Avatar Extras: The Phoenix King
With the comet's energy, firebenders can deliver huge, super-charged attacks over much longer distances.
Avatar Extras: Into the Inferno
With the energy from the comet, firebending is Aang's most powerful element right now.
@anthp2000: @tektonic: @geekryan: @bigdreamer48: Thanks, ya'll. I may intermittently post something every few weeks or months (not guaranteed), but the total period of absence will likely last a year.
Tomorrow, I'll be leaving Comic Vine for quite a long time, so I wanted some way to channel my creative energies into a farewell project of sorts. I decided to revamp this blog by fixing the broken gifs, reorganizing the existing content, and adding some new stuff. Hopefully it's entertaining to read, at least, even if you disagree with some of my conclusions.
