Asgardian Physiology

The Asgardian species only share one characteristic with human beings; their external physical, bilaterally symmetrical appearance (this can be explained as an extreme example of convergent evolution). August sufficiently resembles a human enough to be able to pass as Human but only from a cursory physical inspection. Any trained medical personnel should be able to determine he is not Human with only a modest toolkit of scientific equipment. But August is very different from any human or even normal Asgardian, due to the godly physiology he receives his abilities from the power of his Father, and the unknown powers of his mother. Biologically half-Asgardian on his father's side and the unknown on his mother's side; August possesses a number of superhuman attributes common among the Asgardian and other gods. However, due to his unique birth, some are considerably more developed than those of the vast majority of his race. His skin, muscle, and bone tissues have several times the density of the same tissues in the body of a human being, contributing to his superhuman weight. He is invulnerable to powerful energy blasts, weighted impacts, falls from great heights, explosions, the depths of space and various other opposing forces. Even without his godly power August is still physically one of the strongest and most durable of all the Asgardians and Humans. Able to turn mountains into dust with incredible ease

Due to the godly power in his cells, and the difference of his species in comparison to Earth, August's body affords the Asgardian God with an impossibly dense molecular structure - including near-unbreakable cellular bonds. For that reason, August is invulnerable to injury on Earth - be it piercing, puncture, impact, and incineration. August's strength, endurance, and speed, are derived from his godly power and the strength of his hammer allowing him to move with superhuman force without injury to himself. For that reason, August's raw power is incalculable - But his power also affords the god enhanced reflexes and a relative perception of time - making him a dangerous hand-to-hand combatant. This means that August can quickly react to the actions of others as well as assess his environment much quicker than humans. This isn't to say that he necessarily slows time or perceives normal time differently than humans by default but, at the very least, he is capable of heightened in-the-moment focus, allowing him to rapidly process and react to external stimuli. August is able to run at speeds of Mach 75 and while it is a common misconception that August and the other Gods of Asgard are truly immortal. Unlike many other Asgardians, he cannot age by any conventional means. However, August and the other members of his race do age but at a rate so slow that to other beings they give the appearance of immortality. August is only 24 years old, but when the Asgardians consume the Golden Apples that are cultivated by the goddess Idunn, they are able to maintain themselves in their physical prime.

The All-Speak: There are roughly seven thousand languages on Earth, many of which are spoken by less than one hundred thousand people. Being an Asgardian god and the protector of the Nine Realms, Augusts job must involve conversing with drastically different races, many of which speak different languages, but with the power of the All-Speak August is able to speak whatever language he wishes and whoever he's speaking to will automatically hear him in their native language.

Atmokinesis is the ability to manipulate the atmosphere via psychic means. August can use his godly control to change, dominate the weather and can cause freak weather phenomena. This ability allows manipulation and creation of natural weather conditions, such as, rain, thunderstorms, snow etc...August's control of the weather is very unskilled. And when he does manipulate such things it's usually in very large cases, which usually results in very large and dangerous storms which is why he uses Dainsleif to help channel and fine-tune his power.

August has the ability to manipulate vast amounts of energy, without Dáinsleif he can channel the storm’s energy into blasts so powerful that he can destroy adamantium. August can also channel his godly energies through Dáinsleif, creating rays powerful enough to kill even immortals.

(He Drank From The Well}-Magical Abilities

The giant Mimir, can easily compete with Odin, because he – like the Norns - possesses wisdom that is not from this world. He is the consultant of the gods and knows secrets of magic runes and can predict future. He is the divine holder of knowledge and wisdom and is often referred to as the god of prophecy. August once payed him a visit for the knowledge of the Well, and as anyone knows that sacrifice is required for one to drink from the Mímisbrunnr. Though no physical changes were made and August's sacrifice hasn't come yet...the Norns have something in store for him.

Through drinking from the Well August has received the clarity of inner vision allowing him to use and operate magical runes at a proficient and incredible pace, though he is nowhere near the level of the Allfather himself, August is quite the magical user, being able to manipulate magical properties for a variety of ways.

Here is a list of some of the magical runes August is capable of using:

?: URUZ - Power, Manhood, A Wild Bull

Uruz is a symbol of the wild bovine, a reminder that cattle were once wild creatures. Uruz represents young warriors. The Uruz energy is heavily invested in the hamingja, it is not suited for easy, conscious control and in the wrong hands can cause incredible damage. It is the rune of powerful unconscious shaping energies that need to be guided wisely as they manifest. It is an early reminder within the series that the untamed powers of creativity are not without danger – a reality quite clear in modern technological civilization. It is August's skill and practiced techniques that control the energy unleashed by this rune. It is the rune of independence, asserting oneself and one’s territory. And thus using this

Life’s persistence and its endless resourcefulness in the task of survival are all implicit within the rune meaning of Uruz, thus it is a rune of manifestation, regeneration and endurance. The organic patterning energy of Uruz laces up the skin, sustains the ego and can be used to protect the psyche from trauma. Self-healing is the energy which pulls a diseased or ill form back toward its ‘primal blueprint’: the original, invisible shape intended by nature’s design. Thus though rarely injured, the Uruz rune can heal August from incredible injuries

And Uruz is the rune of the inner-King and inner-Queen. With this August can assert his right to exist and be free in the very same primal authority that the aurochs did theirs. It is the will to live passionate and free. This symbolizes Augusts position as the Prince Of Asgard.

NAUTHIS - Compulsion, Necessity, Pain

“Consciousness is the Necessity.”
“Consciousness is the Necessity.”

The mysteries of necessity are at the core of Nauthiz. It is central to manipulating Wyrd so that desired outcomes can be attained through negotiating with the energies of the Norns. Invoking need is more powerful than wishing, but what one needs and what one desires are not always the same. In this sense, Nauthiz can protect us from ourselves, but its lessons are often harsh and require sacrifice.

As a war rune, Nauthiz empowers the invoker to have the courage and wisdom to recognize what must be done in an otherwise complex situation. Necessity is the mother of invention. No pain, no gain. It is connected with the harshness of reality, this gifts August with enhanced intelligence and the ability to act without the need to stop and think. Though this costs a great deal of physical energy and reduces his powers by half.

Dainsleif-The Weapon Of The Prince Of Thunder

No Caption Provided

Dáinsleif, named after the legendary King Högni's sword was created by dwarven brothers Eitri and Brokkr the same crafters of Mjölnir, in the heart of a dying star. Known to rival and even perhaps exceed his father's mighty weapon, Dáinsleif uses a combination of magic and graviton particles, which is a hypothetical particle that transfers gravitational forces from its field. By changing the gravity around itself it can be light enough for August to wield but too heavy for his enemies to lift. Dáinsleif also helps August channel and focus his powerful abilities, allowing him to finely control and manipulate the weather. But another affect the weapon has, is by emitting Graviton particles straight upwards, the heavy particles in the clouds above August's weapon would suddenly get heavier, and Dáinsleif would effectively become the only ground around for the leaders of the lightning, than once the lightning hits the weapon another beam shoots out and alters the charge potential in the air such that the lightning would take the path of least resistance, and go whichever way August wants. Dáinsleif has three forms, the Hammer, the Sword and the Axe. Both offer unique powers and allow August a broader range of abilities.

Each form of Dáinsleif is able to be called and controlled by August, the gravitational force that pulls two objects towards each other is described by this equation, and is dependent on the masses of two objects, how far they are apart, and a universal constant, G. This force is also reciprocal—each experiences the same force. However, how much that force moves the objects is another matter. For example, if you were to orbit Jupiter, its incredible size would produce a large gravitational force on you. You would “pull” with an equivalent force on Jupiter. While you would hurtle towards the interior of the gas giant, Jupiter wouldn’t move at all because of the force required to accelerate such a massive object. August and his hammer are gravitationally linked— graviton-emitting energy—the hammer is cosmically compelled to fly towards him, like a human would be to Jupiter. There has to be enough force to accelerate the hammer, which he also provides. August also is capable of channeling different amounts of his godly energies in combination with the mystical properties of Dainsleif. These energies can be channeled through his hammer for a single massive energy beam known as the God Blast which is able to kill even immortals. And by grasping Dainsleif by the leather thong in it's original form and rapidly swirling it August can channel energies for the purpose of opening gateways through means of a vortex and in this vortex time has no meaning, which means he and others can pass through it to their destinations instantaneously. He can open gateways which allow him to travel across locations no matter how great the distance within moments or even across entire dimensions, as he does when he travels from Asgard to Earth and vice-versa. While each version of Dáinsleif offers different advantages they all share these things in common.

?:Dáinsleif: Hammer Version And Fighting Style:

This version of the legendary weapon possesses the same abilities as above, but in the form of a hammer, now a hammer is a rather aggressive weapon, requiring quite a bit of strength to make its blows count for much at all. It deals in blunt force trauma rather than swift cuts from a sword or a final shot from a bullet. Capable of crushing bones and squashing resistance. The fact that August is able to strike with his hammer and remain holding onto it attests to the amount of strength that he possesses. The fact that he can control it in such a way speaks to the fact that he was trained incredibly well to fight while growing up in Asgard. One of the main points in August's fighting, is the fact that he leaves himself open during his attacks. August typically chronically draws his arm all the way back before he takes a swing or throws his weapon and this allows him to put more force and more power behind his throws and swings, something that helps when fighting larger foes. However, this action leaves him open. It bares his chest and makes something of an open target. Rather than running or getting into a more defensive posture, he simply draws his arm back and waits for the right moment to strike, leaving himself completely open to an attack in the process. The fact that he leaves himself open, even when being fired at, demonstrates his confidence not only in his abilities but also in himself. He knows he can take the force of those attacks. He can handle it. As such, he worries less about defending himself and more about the power of his attacks.

Another thing August uses Dáinsleif for is defense. By spinning his weapon incredibly fast August is able to deflect and absorb practically any amount of damage. Dáinsleif is also able to generate force fields and barriers made of pure energy around whatever he wished. These barriers aren't just any regular defense mechanism. They are so sturdy that they are nearly impenetrable. The shields would hold firm even from a cosmic attack that was strong enough to blow up an entire planet.

August, being the heir to the throne of Asgard, is tasked with protecting the Nine Realms. While his father is more than capable of doing it, August has the free time so that his father can stay with their people. Because of this, August has to often hunt down all sorts of godlike creatures in order to prevent them from destroying planets. He also has to deal with the affairs of other worlds so that they don't fall into chaos. However, he has to have a way of finding these problems in order to deal with them. This is where his hammer comes in. Having a penchant for storing and releasing energy, the hammer can also track the energy of others and communicate to the Prince where the source is. It has a particular interest in supernatural energy, which is quite useful for the Prince of Thunder, considering that he has to snuff out some of the deadliest supernatural threats in the entire Nine Realms. On its best days, the hammer can also track a person, considering that everyone gives off some sort of energy. This means that, if August was on the hunt for someone, there would be no realm or barren moon where he couldn't find them.

Dáinsleif can actually redirect energy, meaning that, if someone were to throw fire at the mighty weapon, August would be able to deflect it right back into his opponent's face. On top of that, the mighty hammer can also absorb other energies. Then, when he is feeling ready for a more powerful attack, he can send it all right back even stronger than before.

?:Dáinsleif Sword Version:

This version is based on the Legendary King Högni's sword and shares most of the basic of the original swords abilities, while coupled with the regular power of the weapon itself. While the major weapon "Dainsleif" itself does not carry the curse of Högni, the sword form does. And such it is cursed so that it causes serious wounds that could never be healed. When this dangerous weapon was not placed in a sheath, or August doesn't transform it into either a rune, or shifts it into another verision of Dáinsleif it kills instantly and even only one blow from Dainsleif can be deadly. Once drawn by its August, the sword must kill before it could be again returned to the rune. And drawing it always takes a life. Additional abilities allow August to slice holes in reality and traverse through them, along with absorbing and redirecting energy blasts and such. Thus August refuses to draw the sword unless in the most dire of situation like a planetary threat, despite it's incredible power. The sword may be the most lethal of the versions but it is the one August uses the least and for good reason.

Translation: With the force of the gods, and the clash of thunder. The night sky's will be torn asunder. The worth is now, in the light of day, Lightning Strikes, enemies will pray.

The Axe version of the legendary weapon is able to focus and enhance August's powers more than any of the other versions. It is also able to channel dimensional energy and summon the Bifrost Bridge, which allows August to transport himself and others great distances Like the hammer before it, the Axe will return to August's hand when summoned and strikes his opponents with massive force. It glows with an otherworldly blue flame that crackles with electricity and seems to have the ability to home in on a target if he wills it. In addition, the weapon allows the user to fly effortlessly while using it. Due to its increased size and mass, having both the blade of an axe and the head of a hammer in its construction, as well as sporting an elongated handle enabling the weapon to be wielded two-handed, it is a notably more potent melee weapon than the Hammer. And though not having many unique cabilbilities about it the Axe is the most powerful of all three versions of the weapon.

?:Equipment:

Megingjörð: Passed down from him from his father megingjörð is the legendary belt worn by Thor, When worn, the belt is described as doubling August's already prodigious strength.

Harðvaxnar sér herðir

halllands of sik falla

(gatat maðr) njótr (hin neytri)

njarð- (ráð fyrir sér) gjarðar.

Þverrir lætr nema þyrri

Þorns barna sér Mǫrnar

snerriblóð til svíra

salþaks megin vaxa.

Tyr: While many think that August's incredible speed while flying is based on him throwing his hammer and his physical stats, that's actually not the case. His incredible speed is in fact granted to him by his cape Tyr. Named for the Norse God of the Sky this cape allows August when under Earths Atmosphere to fly up to speeds over Mach 100, and when in the void of space, to reach lightspeeds.
