I would just like to point out that Harley, in a sense, has always been a hooker. A lot of people don't really seem to realize this, but it is from the cannon "Mad Love" comic book (Not the BTAS episodes). Harley had sex to get good grades on her papers. It's cannon, and if you don't believe me, take a look in the comic for yourself~! (I will not argue this any further.)
 
I don't really think the fact that Harley's new outfit is revealing is really the issue here. Its the fact that it is unimaginative, hideous, generic 'hot-topic reject' ugly. This isn't Harley's style what so ever! Harley is charming, classic, bubbly, clumsy and well, cute! The outfit above, not only (like hummingbird said) has no clowny appearance, (like, hello, where are the diamonds!?) but it just isn't even in the REALM of Harley's wardrobe, seriously! 
 
Perhaps I shouldn't make this comparison, but I feel like this would make an extreme point to get across. Have you ever seen an interview with Ted Bundy, the serial killer? If you have, then you know that Bundy is actually quite charismatic...normal in appearance and almost disarming. And then you remember he was a serial killer...and for me, this gives me ABSOLUTE SHIVERS. Isn't it creepier to have someone looking so "Joe-Average", someone whose got charm and charisma on the outside, only to find out he's a murder? 
 
Yeah, it is. It's frightening. I mean, you take a look at Charles Manson, and you automatically suspect he's a creep, so when someone points to him and says "He convinced a cult to kill people for him," you're thinking to yourself "Well duh."
 
So, when someone points to this "reboot Harley" costume and says "She's a villian." REALLY? I had NO IDEA. (dripping with sarcasm, of course.) 
 
But look at Harley's classic BTAS, cannon outfit, or even look at her out of costume! Bleached hair, pigtails, a wide grin and rosy cheeks. Oh wait, she's a nutcase? A villian? HOLY CRAP! It's creepier, crazier that way!  Why would DC destroy something so dynamic and fun? 
 
I think most of us can agree--we like Harley BECAUSE she is a breath of FRESH AIR from the generic "femme fatale" we see ALL THE TIME in comics! 
 
I really don't know what's going on with DC right now, AT ALL. But seriously, I am so disapointed and hurt that they would risk the loyalty of their fans. Gee, you'd think they're actually trying to LOSE money, rather than GAIN it!!

Hi guys, I'm Trini, and I'm a TOTAL Harley Quinn nutso. I've been cosplaying as her since '08/'09, and I still continue to cosplay as her to this day. I am currently working on getting a new costume, making new props and adding on to my ever-growing list of Harley Quinn variations and themes to cosplay as.
