I remain optimistic, but have been stung in the past. I'll decide a week after its release on whether to see it or skip it.

@ursaber: I have a theory that the PF is influenced by its avatars. Since we know it currently has different avatars in different universes, what if the balance of its avatars are actually jerks and their influence is affecting its behavior?

When it showed Jean healing the universe one of the other avatars mentioned they wouldn't have bothered. I suspect that's a more common sentiment to destroy rather than heal and that one of the reasons the Phoenix is attracted to Jean and even made her its White Crown is to try and balance out its impulses.

Unfortunately at this point Jean's influence is being drowned out so that's why she hasn't been heard from and it explains the Phoenix's more aggressive tendencies of late.

But wait! Wasn't Jeans's secondary mutation supposed to be that she is the actual PF? Who knew Jean was so heartless.

Right now I'm really enjoying Spider Gwen and Renew Your Vows. Which is odd because I've never been a hardcore spider fan.

I could have gotten behind Nate if his massive power levels really did end up killing him in some incredible noble and romantic way. I'm a sucker for a tragic love story. But, they chickened out and found a cure for him. Like any of us didn't expect that to happen. Oh well.

Another problem I had with Nate is he's basically Cable. Why do we need a second one? Like Tean Grey, we already have Jean, just bring the poor girl back already.
