Complaining that she was a Diversity Hire makes absolutely no sense, she's what the character requires. That's like complaining that they hired a 9 foot tall green rage monster to play the hulk because he's non white 😂

@fullmetalemprah: I don't think anyone here is saying they hate that they're all fit. At most people are saying they don't have to be. From the looks of this thread I'm guessing I'm the odd one out in this but, seeing these characters looking the way they do does absolutely nothing for my body image. Doesn't make me feel any better or worse, doesn't inspire me or demoralize me. If anything it's because it's just the expectation that they're by default going to be tall, fit, and attractive just because they're superheroes.

Yes, and since they're mostly men I get most benefit >:) no more batfleck butt though, it was very disappointing compared to how to looked in the suit.

@punisher_: faith isn't some random sjw character. She's from a group book and was good enough to get heroes book (the others didn't even get their own books). Not because she's "sjw feminist crap" but because she's an interesting character. I'd rather read her books than Batman or Superman or spiderman.

Should be Fit: Street levelers whose effectiveness relies on their skills and physique making them better than the average people they tend to fight. I think they should look according to how they fight. Lean muscle for characters like Nightwing and Daredevil who need to be fast, but football player shape for ones like Frank castle. Curvy women doesn't make sense in this category because it doesn't help at all, I think women should be she hulk shaped if possible.

Shouldn't matter: Characters with absurd strength as a power. Hulk for example has a rage based strength so he could look like he did in the avengers movie and it would make sense (Brock Lesner kind of body) or someone lie Shazam who magically has strength could be super fat or super skinny and it *shouldn't* have any effect on his strength. Same goes to character a like spiderman and spiderwoman. The amount of muscle they have on their body does not reflect their strength anyways because more fit characters like cap clearly aren't as strong anyways.

Pointless to be in good shape: Characters like Jean Grey, Zatanna, doctor strange, etc shouldn't matter what they look like with her. If it comes to the point where they have to fight physically then its probably over because their powers are generally muuuuuch greater than whatever they could do with their punches.

James Gunn has said repeatedly that just about everyone in the guardians movies have universal translators. since we're supposed to be experiencing it through Quill's eye mostly, it gets "translated" to English for us.

Pretty sure Galactus could do it without the Saiyan power, but sure he'll add that to his power. He won't care enough to be a father or a friend or a hero, he'll just kill everyone in his way and keep eating. So I guess the eating thing stays the same as Goku lol
