Thor is a speedster. Yes, I know the majority does not agree, even calling the mighty Thor names like slowdinson, but hear me out, Thor is just as much a speedster as superman, Silver surfer, Sentry or any of the other guys known for their speed in comics and on the battle forums.

THOR AND SUPERMAN COMPARED

If you know anything about superheroes, you know that Superman is fast. Superman Speedblitzes are words heard round the world whether in an internet debate, at the comic shop or just talking with friends, but what if I told you the "slowdinson" can do what Superman can and even better? Do you think that sounds ridiculous? Well its not, let us compare them and see just how similar in speed they are.

Superman escapes the gravitational pull of a black hole.

Thor escapes a black hole with ease while carrying Rulk. (and hulks weigh a lot)

Both Superman and Thor can fly at light speed. Here is another example of their speeds, both Supes and Thor go after living planets.

Superman is flying at insane speeds to a distant galaxy and Thor is travelling in hyperspace and passing a being travelling at speeds far faster than light in hyperspace. As you can see both Thor and Supes are insanely fast but Thor is actually faster as he can enter hyperspace and his hammer can reach the end of the universe and come back in seconds. Thor can also see beings traveling at speeds faster than light perfectly, as he can see Ego in hyperspace.

Now you may be thinking, "Pfft, I already knew this, but Supes is still faster in a fight by a lot! You cant used combat speed in battles!". Is supes really faster by a lot? And is combat speed never used for supes in battles?

Supes speedblitz is travel speed, plain and simple. When people say supes speedblitzes and show him flying fast but say Thor cant use travel speed they are being hypocrites, Thor has used speedblitz himself several times.

Thor is a great speedblitzer as well, capable of using it to his advantage against supposedly faster beings than himself.

Thor speedblites so fast that Silver Surfer cannot stop him and sees him as a blur as Thor busts galan's head in.

Here in a very Supermanesque fashion Thor uses his flight speed to KO wolverine. Recently Jane Thor battled Odin and their fight took them from Asgard to the moon in second/minutes, so even one simply imbued with the power of Thor has insane speed.

As you can see the speedblitz is travel speed, anyone who says you cant use Thor's travel speed in a vs battle but uses speedblitz is a hypocrite and Thor uses speedblitz effectively.

Now you probably know supes reaction/combat feats, he routinely catches bullets, dodges punches ect, but do you know Thor's feats?

Here a building is literally falling downwards on Thor. Thor doesn't move from his spot but instead hits so fast not a single brick touches him before he can smash it. That's an insane feat, on par with feats of superman.

Here deflects a poison dart that is fired only a few feet from jane foster, the impressive Thing about this is that thor wasn't even in the room when it fired.

Thor deflects multiple repulsor beam attacks at once.

Here Thor ko's an enchanter and catches mjolnir, this all happens in microseconds

As you can see Thor has insane reaction/combat feats and can speed blitz just as fast as superman, but you may be wondering, "Well if he is so fast wy the low showings?" All characters have low showings, in Thor's case it is PIS, writers lower his speed for the plots sake or to let a character like wolverine have a chance in a fight vs Thor. Even superman has low showings, being tagged by robots, hit by beams ect.

IN CONCLUSION

Thor is a speedster, travelling and in combat. In Travel speed thor is faster than superman and maybe any speedster other than the flash as Thor can cross the universe in minutes and enter hyperspace. In combat speed Thor is extremely fast, not as fast as supes but very fast and able to hold his own against other known speedsters. Thor can perceive beings going faster than light as well, as he could see Ego perfectly in hyper space. I have not used every scan I can, there is even more proof of Thor being a super speedster you can see in thor respect threads. I know I will probably get ridiculed for this but I hope you learn something from what I wrote and realise Thor is not the slowdinson you might have thought he was.
