I'm really not seeing what the problem is here. it's a separate book that highlights the fight scenes for the primary "series". If people are complaining about it not having a plot, at least marvel is up front about it. It's there to cater to the reader who wants to see them slug it out while giving more space for the writers to actually focus on the plot without the need for fists and beams everywhere.
We all know it's a cash grab because ALL events are cash grabs and if that still isn't obvious at this point, then there's nothing that can be said to prove this to you. What's important is that now writers aren't forced to dilute plot with fistfights everywhere. The same can be said about just showing things about kicking ass without WORDS WORDS WORDS.
Marvel is finally acknowledging that they have different audiences and giving them what they want without FORCING you to get this completely optional book to fully digest the event. If the main AvX books turn out great and you decide to get the book, then great! If the fight scenes impress you enough to start buying the main books, then great too!
Again, I ask: What exactly is the problem here? Or is this just a case of people screaming "Stop liking what I don't like!" into the vast ether of the internet?
