You know, guys, maybe they just came together for a big, mutual dental check.

Ha! This wins the prize for best comment yet. :D

I'm usually not one to poopoo something that hasn't been released yet (because unlike many other comic book critics, I understand that I am not clairvoyant) but this cover just has a little too much of the 90's for me. All it needs is gritty crosshatching and strategically placed smoke to cover their feet and I'll feel like a kid with terrible taste again.

I have been waiting for this for so very long! Once you start collecting marks for end-game gear, it gets really depressing when everyone has the exact same equipment set. Balancing might be an issue, but that's something I'm willing pay... for now.

Sorry, I'd like to share something to tip the scales one way or the other but I can't. Partly because I don't know enough about Nate to really like him and partly because we all know that telepathic battles generally just boil down to who get's the first ice-cream headache.

I think the way he's depicted in Wolverine and the X-Men is the best way to depict Quentin. When you're supposedly super smart, super powerful and with a skill set that seems to be not yet set in stone (the charms of being an omega-level mutant once relegated to obscurity), you either become a Paragon of all that is good... or you become a self-entitled little jerk. The fact that Quentin can remind the reader of that one annoying little know-it-all rebel from our high school (Hey! It could've even been you or I, dear reader!) is testament to him being written well. He has a very distinct character totally separate from almost all of the omega-level mutants written. He's an uncool kid that just wants attention.

Honestly? I like him and I hope he never learns the proverbial lesson they're bound to saddle him with somewhere down the line. I hope he keeps being the jerk that he is because it's entertaining.

This is probably the worst timed comment in the history of the universe but Community needs to get its own comic. I think it's one of the rare gems that has the ability to survive in any medium as long as it's written by the same guys on the show. Simply reading any line from Jeff/Britta/Dean still sends me into honest-to-goodness fits of laughs.

Oh, and alow me to stick the obligatory #SAVEGREENDALE somewhere here too.

The hours of fun I'll have with me having him scream out CHRIIIIIIISSSSS in that hilariously nasal voice of his will be worth every cent.

Friendship is the entire reason why Rockslide and Anole are currently the best dudes in any X-Comic in such a long time. The fact that these two really guys are so different but are the biggest of bro's will warm anyone's jaded heart.

Marvel, please give them more air time. For the love of all that is AWWW and good in the world, please give them more air time!

I'm really not seeing what the problem is here. it's a separate book that highlights the fight scenes for the primary "series". If people are complaining about it not having a plot, at least marvel is up front about it. It's there to cater to the reader who wants to see them slug it out while giving more space for the writers to actually focus on the plot without the need for fists and beams everywhere.

We all know it's a cash grab because ALL events are cash grabs and if that still isn't obvious at this point, then there's nothing that can be said to prove this to you. What's important is that now writers aren't forced to dilute plot with fistfights everywhere. The same can be said about just showing things about kicking ass without WORDS WORDS WORDS.

Marvel is finally acknowledging that they have different audiences and giving them what they want without FORCING you to get this completely optional book to fully digest the event. If the main AvX books turn out great and you decide to get the book, then great! If the fight scenes impress you enough to start buying the main books, then great too!

Again, I ask: What exactly is the problem here? Or is this just a case of people screaming "Stop liking what I don't like!" into the vast ether of the internet?
