"Is that all?" The Admirals of the Migrant Fleet stood atop their individual podiums with an air of importance. Their smug visages accompanied by their outstanding status within the futuristic command chain put fear and undying loyalty in the hearts of most who stood before them. Yet as their most valued spy stood before them they could not inspire the same influence in her. The woman's eyes held a fire that refused to fade. With every order they issued a question was spat back at them, demanding understanding before performing their wishes. As much as they wished they could exile this child they knew how important she was to the Migrant Fleet's progression as both a force of Justice and as the last surviving human colony in known space. "Find the one called Solace, and bring this universal threat before us so that she may be judged. You may use any methods required. Keep in mind that a corpse cannot be judged. If you do not comeback with the packaged know that there shall be no home to come back too." Aqua Rose's baby blue eyes came around full circle as she turned her back to the Admirals and made her way to her private chamber.
Aqua suited up, donning a pair of form fitting, boot cut jeans with a tank top. Her feet were covered by steel toe combat boots and a small leather jacket hugged her slender figure. Her sheathed Wakizashi was slung across her back and her watch strapped tightly around her wrist. The moment the watch was in place, it came to life with a vibrant display of light followed by a digital image of a small male sentient. "What is today's mission Ms. Rose?" Aqua made her way out of the room, sealing the door behind her and punching in a code on the keypad to the left of the door. "We've recently discovered powerful oscillations of energy in the Eagle Nebula, we believe this is left over radiation from the event that nearly destroyed everything that has ever existed over 2,000 years ago. We need to locate the one known as Solace, the supposed source of the power and bring her back to the fleet... Alive. I need you to plot a course for New York City, Year 2011." The AI nodded. "Searching, I've created a wormhole, are you ready to pass through?" Aqua returned the nod with a stiff one of her own. Her body materialized into pixels of light before vanishing completely.
In what felt like seconds Aqua awoke from the blackness to the sun's beaming light. Reaching in the pocket of her jacket she retrieved a pair of shades. The lenses were large but the of the glasses were skinny. She placed the shades over her eyes and gazed over the balcony of the rooftop she was on. Cars filled the streets and pedestrians flooded the sidewalks. She was bedazzled by the display, something she had only seen in holovids and movies was happening right in front of her. She had never saw so many humans gathered in one area, seemingly moving without a care in the world. Unbeknownst of the fate that was awaiting them in due time. "Ahem," The AI blurted in an attempt to refocus the amazed Aqua.
"Ms. Rose I've picked up on some energy readings similar to those found in the Eagle Nebula." Aqua drew her mind away from the sights and refocused her mind. "This place is so lively, its easy to get lost in. Point me in the direction and keep me updated on any potential information you can gather about this Solace." The AI's visual morphed to that of a compass and Aqua took off with uncanny speed. With a steady sprint she sped towards the ledge, leaping from rooftop to rooftop with ease and fluidity. As she reached a lower rooftop she tumbled through the air, decreasing her jump distance. she landed on the corner of the building, maintaining balance in a crouched position. She transitioned to a cat pass as she vaulted over the next ledge and dove down. A corkscrew spin followed by a simple half twist gave her the aerial control she needed to move from a nose dive to the ladder of a fire escape. She slid down the ladder landing in an alley way. Aqua sauntered forward steadily. "Encountering suspect in 10 seconds." By the time Aqua reached the opening of the alley that led into the main street Solace was casually strolling down the street, accompanied by a canine companion. Aqua intercepted her path casually, hoping to avoid conflict in an open area with so many civilians. "By order of the Migrant Fleet you are to brought in to answer for your crimes against the universe. If you refuse, any force required shall be exercised. In other words, don't give me a reason." Aqua said with a light tone and a glowing smile that hid her predator nature.
