And on the last bit...Isn't that kind of a given, considering a strong majority of the forum players are guys? [And of course the spoken unspoken rule that a female (with a pretty character av) will generally have an easier time finding interactions.] And...c'mon, most of those boys were thirstier than stranded desert rats.

Ah, I do miss those days. A fair juxtaposition.

I still haven't paid enough attention to give a fair and accurate assessment on the thread itself [not in full, anyway], but I do notice it's a bit different from those days. And if the comments from you and Psy and Mav are to be believed, drastically. And not really for the better, I'd wager. Anything that's driving off newbies, or that you look at and say it'll do nothing but drive the newbie away, I'd say it's a bad thing for the forum. That in mind, I think it's a terrible way for that thread to go. [Especially since that would mean it only has room for one type of character - the asshole/bitch. Nice characters, those who wouldn't just talk trash about someone without a reason, wouldn't have a place there.]

So glad this isn't the case. An LL-less forum is much worse off.

@the_psyentist: Huh. That's odd. I remember writing Antonia and she was far beyond condescending [seriously, she put the "bitch" in Queen Bitch of the Universe] but no one ever took it so seriously that they disliked me for what the character said. Wanted to beat the heck out of her, sure, but not disliked me because she said bad things to/about their characters. And you're actually a much more gentle person than I am OOC so that's very strange!

Not entirely sure how to approach this.

@thisisgonnahurt@maverick_6: I don't really know exactly what's going on, but considering the subject matter this concerns me as a member of the CoE, on a couple of levels.

First is the fact that by now I'm acutely aware that apparently something happened [or didn't happen] to Denver. Something along the lines of major destruction to the entire city [or at least a very large scale, such that there's a need to create a "New Denver?"]. This is concerning because I don't recall us being notified at all that someone intended to cause such major destruction [approval for such a thing required as per CVnU rules]. But I've had a lot going on in life so it's possible I forgot. If this happened and I just forgot, someone feel free to remind me - preferably by bumping the PM so I have something concrete to show me we were notified and gave the OK.

Then there's the broader issue of what to do even if we were to say "okay, so this all happened...but now Warsman wants to retcon it all but Maverick doesn't want to." Which may or may not be an issue right now, depending on how things go, but may bear discussing in the future.
