You do realise that the identity of the Red Hood is only a mystery to those who haven't read the near-identical comic it is an adaptation of, right?

And even then, the film's opening scenes makes it pretty obvious by putting so much emphasis on the death of Jason Todd... if it wasn't him, that entire opening sequence would have been pointless.

Mask Of The Phantasm. It's really no contest. The best thing to come out of the best Batman show (and some say best Batman adaptation) in history, featuring the voices Batman and Joker that most of the world by now associates with those characters.

It's a fantastic mystery that also explores the one time when Bruce Wayne nearly gave up on his promise to fight crime because he had unexpectedly found happiness, and how that was cruelly ripped away from him at the last moment.

And even better... it's an original story, and not just a pretty much note-for-note retelling of a story from the comics.

Can we just skip the awful and get on to the part where we all forget Joker's Daughter ever existed, please?

Other than that character's inclusion, though, that's some interesting artwork, and should provide enough speculation to tide us over for a little while.

Doctor Death also showed up in Tony Daniel's Batman run working with Black Mask, Hugo Strange and Fright to create a new version of the Reaper.

I'm surprised there aren't more votes for No Man's Land, that's the one I picked because of how well it developed the characters in Gotham, especially the villains with how they controlled different areas. Penguin was really amazing in it.

I've always considered No Man's Land to be less one story than a setting in which to tell MANY stories. Of which, some were great, some were just good, and some were really really bad.

To me, The Long Halloween is everything a great Batman story should be. A dark detective story, which really gets the reader thinking from the beginning. Batman predominantly taking on mobsters rather than superpowered criminals (though the superpowered criminals do play a crucial role, of course), and providing a fantastic story for Harvey Dent and Two-Face. Quite simply, Batman at its best... though it was a really tight between that and a selection of others which also showcase Batman at his best:

Year One
Hush
The Man Who Laughs
The Black Mirror
The Killing Joke
Dark Victory
The Dark Knight Returns
R.I.P.
Batman & Robin Must Die!
The Court Of Owls
