I've been essentially an X-Men fan since I was a kid, at which time I watched the animated series obsessively. As I've grown older, I've become more of a DC Comics fan than a Marvel one, but I still love the X-Men, and read them when I can. Having recently seen X-Men First Class, I have had the spark of my X-Men fandom re-ignited, and decided I would start reading the X-Men comics starting with Giant Size #1. I read the early stuff years ago, and although I enjoyed it, not enough to start over from there. I feel like this is the right point to start, and I'll review each issue on this site as I go. It's probably absurd that I call myself an X-Men fan without having ever read the Dark Phoenix Saga, but this will be amended in time.
