Many say that it is uncommon or out of character for superman to speed blitz in forum battles, mainly to take away one reason (sometimes the only reason) for him to win against their champion. Sometimes it is blown out of proportion (the speed blitz argument), but other times those who argue against the Man of Steel whine and complain about how this ability that is shared among many super heroes is overrated and overused even against the slower lot of opponents (Hulk for example). In the thread being discussed above Thor is battling Superman and in a list of scenarios there were almost an equal number of wins on either side, many agreed with the outcome given by the thread starter. Some stated that the first scenario that resulted in an indecisive "either way" was actually more in Clark's ballpark due to his speed advantage, more basely put ... "speed blitz." Then another poster who apparently disagreed with the claim put up scans of some of Kal's adversaries landing hits on him and stated "why doesn't he blitz this guy, or this guy...I'm sick of hearing about Superman speed blitz, when was the last time he speed blitzed someone?" A more well known poster on this forum stated in agreement to the previous post, "Very rarely does he speedblitz, almost never, its just DC fanboys like to use it as an excuse to say Supes wins." It is sometime after this post that CitizenBane brought up a list of opponents blitzed by Superman in the past (with morals on), completely derailing the argument brought up by the other two posters (BigCimmerian and venomoushatred1001) . they haven't made another post in that thread disputing the evidence given proving that their ill informed post was completely debunked since they didn't have evidence to prove their argument, thus legitimizing the speed blitz argument as an appropriate argument in a battle for superman to win. These instances are not uncommon in threads all around the Vine, and as such when someone wants to downplay Superman's speed (especially against a slower opponent) let this be an example to them of how far their plight to cast out speed blitz will go. Once again, special thanks to CitizenBane for his input and unbiased opinion.
