Did anyone else notice how the new X-Men:Blue Beast uniform is a blatant facsimile of Wonder-Man's 1990s costume? Down to open-finger gloves and two-strap wristbands... discuss.

I almost missed Groot's homage to Wolverine in the last page if it was not for this article. Here's a reminder from the classic pages of Dark Phoenix Saga for you all to enjoy The X-Men #132 - And Hellfire Is Their Name!

Disappointing. Roz would have been a more interesting choice and I can't help but feel like this carefully crafted character was discarded in lieu of a weak plot twist. I guess most readers anticipated it was going to be Jane, despite the writer's best efforts to confuse and cheaply cheat their way out of it in the pages of #8 ("I made a list. And there is only one name left on it. Rosalind." - compare the list from #5) -- or are the readers to interpret this as Odinson quickly forgetting about his dying cancer-stricken long-time friend?

In any case, this series was a refreshing run. Fairly original, bold, good dialogue and spectacular art. Recommended read even if you don't have tits.

3 years worth of disinformation from Leliel. Well done! But I think it's high time I used my Lich Lord Level Thread-Necromancy Powers! So here goes...

Spider-Man crossed over with Excalibur in Spider-Man #25 - Why Me? (1992) where they fought against Arcade's androids. In the melee, some Excalibur members were switched out by androids and then killed off in battle, including Rachel Grey. Spidey discovered the body was a fake and used the tech to pretend he had Phoenix' powers to end the contest -- but never actually gained any powers. It was all tech-based gimmickry and illusions.

Overall, the single-issue story was a pretty unremarkable spin on the old tired scenario with Arcade trapping a bunch of heroes in his Murderworld where nobody ever gets murdered. The character was run with this kind of predictable nonsense for about 2 decades until the writers finally did something interesting and got the Murderworld right in 2013 with Avengers Arena ^_^

@nickxh: With Marvel, I prefer to just count myself lucky they didn't assign one of the other so-called artists that make their comics look like something that came out off a kindergarten wall display.

It all makes sense now! It was THE BEYONDER all along. He is the sole being with the power and knowledge to trigger the Incursions. All so that he can have his Battle-world sequel. Thanks Marvel, great story, I'm tuning out now, bye.
