Bionic Arm: Mansley's right limb has been entirely supplanted by a self-fueling cybernetic appendage, granting him a great degree of superhuman strength as well as technological application. The arm is composed of layered plastics, ceramics, wiring, and carbon fullerene, the arm enables him to store and throw his weapons of choice at astonishing rates, far outperforming even the most powerful stable boomerang launching devices. The bionic arm is intrinsically linked to Mansley's nervous system, simulating touch and giving him acute sensory perception; to him, the arm feels as it always did, the advanced cybernetics capable of mimicking a regular human limb. The arm's dozens of compartments store a large number of Mansley's boomerangs, and while others are kept elsewhere, such as in pouches or mounted on his suit, the majority of more-advanced weapons are located in his arm. A small "reloading" mechanism can deposit folded boomerangs directly into Mansley's palm, dispensing them so efficiently one might equate it to an automatic weapon. The arm has a self-regulating computer which responds to instinct, selecting the requested boomerang type and adjusting power levels based on Mansley's physical condition.
Cybernetic Eye: Mansley's right eye is an inorganic cyber-optic viewing device, connected to his nervous system on a cellular level. Mimicking the color and even texture of a normal eye, the collection of compressed technologies actually serves as a tiny "heads-up-display" for Mansley, capable of tracking targets in his surrounding environment with a thought as well as predicting the trajectory of any moving object in his vicinity. This makes the robotic eye a powerful tool for judging his throws, as well as dodging incoming attacks and rectifying his flight path.
Standard Boomerangs: Collapsible and forged from interlocking layers of plastic-carbon sheeting, these ultra-tough projectile weapons can be thrown by Mansley at speeds approaching one hundred and fifty miles per hour, thanks to their aerodynamic design and his powerful bionic limb. These non-magnetic boomerangs are a standard weapon of choice for Mansley, given their propensity to concuss targets rather than outright murder them. Mansley stores approximately seventy collapsible standard returning boomerangs on his person at all times, their folding quality enabling him to compartmentalize them for easy access. Twenty of these boomerangs have been folded into a compartment within his bionic right arm; upon touching them, they expand, bubble-like technology enlarging the frame of the weapon to maximize surface area and give the boomerang its aerodynamic qualities.
Razor Boomerangs: Even smaller than the standard boomerangs, these razor-edged carbon throwing weapons come in both returning and non-returning varieties. Special ridged padding on Mansley's gloves protect his hands from cuts while wielding these weapons, enabling him to catch and throw them without risk of injury. As with his other boomerangs, the razor variety are often stored in compartments within his arm, easily accessible at a thought. The non-returning "razorangs" are more comparable to shuriken, capable of slicing through opponents' bodies, garments, and even weaponry if thrown at the proper angle. Mansley has long craved adamantine razorangs, but has been unable to procure any thus far.
Flashbangarangs: Boomerangs primed to explode so as to disorient a target's senses, the aptly-named flashbangarangs are composed of the same fuels and structure as traditional flashbangs. These boomerangs produce a series of blinding lights and sounds in excess of 200 decibels, simultaneously stimulating all photoreceptors in the eye and disturbing the fluids of the inner ear. The result is a highly debilitating and distracting stun weapon which can yield ample time for Mansley to escape or ready other weapons. Mansley's visor and helmet protects him from the disorientation caused by the flashbang-style boomerangs.
Explosive Boomerangs: A hallmark of any throwing-weapon-based arsenal, the explosive variety of the standard boomerang is a staple of Mansley's criminal escapades. Boasting a core full of dangerous nano-thermite, these weapons are armed individually by Mansley's biotic arm prior to being thrown, given the risk of detonation. Based on the set reaction time within the bomb, Mansley can arm them with a variety of potential yields, ranging from a small pop of light to enough to blow a tank off its treads. They resemble Mansley's traditional white boomerangs, though each is stamped with an explosive symbol. Certain boomerangs are armed with a manual detonation trigger, enabling Mansley to set them off mid-flight.
EMP Boomerangs: Upon detonation, these boomerangs emit a concentrated electromagnetic pulse with the express intent of frying a target's electronic systems. The high-powered pulse overloads electronic machinery, often rendering it useless. The radius at which this pulse can have an effect is denoted by a marking on their exterior, ensuring Mansley is always out of the blast zone.
Smoke Boomerangs: Perfect for misdirection, Mansley's smoke boomerangs contain a combination of chemical oxidizers, moderators, and fuels to produce thick clouds of fog-like smoke. This smoke can be used to obscure the sight of an opponent or move un-marked through dangerous environments. By disrupting the line-of-sight of his foes, Mansley can surprise them, often using smoke-a-rangs as cover for additional throws. Mansley can see through the smoke with the use of his cybernetic right eyeball.
Sonar-rangs: These small boomerangs emits sound through fluids such as air or water, then measures the nature of the sound's propagation to collect data on the environment. This data is then transmitted directly to Mansley's robotic right eye, enabling him to easily visualize the area surrounding the boomerang with a peculiar "radar-vision" of sorts. These boomerangs are particularly useful for revealing invisible targets, or those who make use of stealth.
Burst-a-rangs: What is in concept a comical variety of weapon is actually in practice one of Mansley's most effective, in addition to spectacular. What at first appears to be a garden variety boomerang may actually conceal up to fifteen smaller compartmentalized boomerangs, each folded meticulously within the interior of the deceptively mundane throwing weapon. Upon detonation, the regular boomerang releases the additional fifteen, propelled by centralized microexplosions within the frame of the original towards their target with intense force. The boomerang bursts apart mid-flight, revealing a collection of identical instantly-unfolding projectiles moving at an even faster speed thanks to the secondary layer of explosions. Mansley has even purported to have concealed additional burst-a-rangs within his standard-level burst-a-rangs, enabling him to create a veritable swarm of boomerangs with a single throw. This concept is even more imposing when one considers the payloads of his more unconventional boomerangs; without warning, one might see fifty nano-thermite based explosive boomerangs hurtling their way with but a flick of Mansley's cybernetic wrist.
Acid Boomerangs: These boomerangs contain nonreactive micro-tablets filled with hydrofluoric acid, a substance which causes tissue death in living beings as well as deep chemical burns. The effects of hydrofluoric acid on the human body are devastating, causing systemic toxicity as well as permanent damage to any part of the body. Guaranteed to burst apart upon contact, the super-concentrated acid has also been laced with a German accelerating agent, amplifying the acid's traditional effects to the extent that it might even eat through inorganic substances, such as glass or metal.
Wire-a-rangs: Filled with compressed carbon fiber netting which has been primed to expand upon hard contact, the wire boomerangs have a large variety of practical applications, from ensnaring foes in tangled coils of carbon fibrewire to enabling Mansley to ascend through his environment by using the boomerang in a similar manner to a grappling hook. There are several varieties of wire-a-rang; some have the fiber netting on the outside, straightened into a line. Others arrange it in a hexagonal pattern ideal for trapping targets.
Homing Boomerangs: Guided by either computer-controlled autopilot or manually directed along a flight path visualized by Mansley's robotic right eye, the homing boomerangs are hi-tech variations of his traditional weapons. Any other variety of boomerang can be adapted to be a homing boomerang through the simple addition of stamped-on microjets and a circuit computer, easily applicable even in the heat of battle. These boomerangs compensate for the movements of even the most dexterous targets, tiny engines directing them along a flight-path which can be altered in real-time. Mansley has experimented with heat-seeking boomerangs as well, though these are in far less demand and have fewer applications.
Ice-a-rangs: Boomerangs emblazoned with a tiny snowflake symbol on the exterior, these weapons contain capsules saturated with supercooled liquid nitrogen. Traditionally, liquid nitrogen would not be enough to cause the freezing effect exhibited by the weapons, but a rapid-boiling ultra-substance has been introduced to compensate for that drawback. This substance can only be produced in tightly controlled conditions, and is kept separate from the bulk of the nitrogen within the center of the weapon. Upon contact with a foe, micro-pressures on each capsule cause them to collide, causing a chemical reaction and forcing the substance to expand and boil. The result is a huge amount of heat intake, rapidly lowering the temperature of the surrounding area. This has reportedly caused large accumulations of ice and frost to spontaneously solidify on targets, making it ideal for combating superhumans who are vulnerable to the cold.
Incendiary Boomerangs: Boomerangs filled with a viscous gelling agent, Mansley's fire-based throwing weapons can melt through steel and reach temperatures approaching 3,000 degrees. Emblazoned with a tiny red fire on the center of the weapon's frame, one can incinerate a single target, while a dozen can cause an unstoppable firestorm.
Hypnotic Boomerangs: Experimental technology designed to induce disorientation and hypnotic effects upon individuals who perceive their surroundings at higher-than-average speeds. The boomerang displays a series of hypnotic lights, oscillating at frequencies perceivable only to those who react to their environments at incredible speeds. Focusing even for a second on the projectile with ultra-quick eyes is sure to result in distraction and hypnotic effects. Given their singular purpose, Mansley carries fewer hypnotic boomerangs than others.
