The Last to Fall

Discretion is the better part of valor.
On Earth-6, the Darwin Doctrine was an unprecedented international agreement under which no individual government would be permitted to render aid to its own citizens in the aftermath of the Second World War. This vicious agreement was the selling of the world's soul: it established a belief among the powers-that-be that in this world, it was truly dog-eat-dog, with no room for love or compassion. The cruelty of Hitler's war had subjected the world to a new revealed truth: hope is a lie, decay is inevitable, and the best any being can do is survive.
Enter AENEAS, a prototype superintelligence designed by the HyperMont Pelerin Society as a walking, talking time capsule. His inventors committed ritual suicide after installing his intellectual core, which would precede to replicate and fold inward upon itself with a single objective: persist through time. The Aenean is thus imbued with a survival instinct rivalling that of the lowest of the low - willing to do anything in order to survive, living for nothing more than its own continued existence.
All discoveries and conclusions it enjoys are twisted along these lines - its core imperative to never allow itself to be destroyed overwhelming any chance it has at true growth. A digi-plastic creature of pure subsistence which retreated to Antarctica at the outbreak of the Second Authority War, it bides its time, monitoring the world in fear of anything that could threaten its existence - its need to remain a monument in itself.

Abilities - "Thou Cowardly Machine!"

AENEAS possesses, first and foremost, hyper-cognition. An artificially-built genius with instantaneous and expansive recall, it is capable of designing and employing weapons, strategies, and innovations to further its own ends. Hamstrung, of course, only by fact that its sole imperative is its own survival.
One possible track that the creature entertained was making itself as utterly harmless and "cute" as possible. However, the posited presence of "intrinsically hostile" life-forms in the universe demanded it adapt for combat. As such, it has constructed a variety of defensive countermeasures with the resources available to it, including potent NULL RAYS, energy weapons which viciously tear at organic life-forms yet pose no threat to its own exoskeleton - for indeed, out of concern that its own tools may one day be turned against it, AENEAS has never constructed any device which could pose harm to itself.
AENEAS can create a localized stable energy rift enabling it to teleport. However, to provide for extra safety, doing so requires intense calculation, even for a hyper-powered machine. The advantage of this is that its own teleporting ability cannot be used to hurt it - it is at no risk of inadvertently manifesting within solid matter, for example, nor can its destination be redirected or manipulated. The trade-off is that it takes an entire minute of concentration to teleport - even with quantum processing. Furthermore, this teleportation is restricted to AENEAS' immediate physical form - it cannot teleport other matter save for that which it holds in its hands, nor is it capable of using this technique offensively, i.e. teleporting an adversary into the Sun.
AENEAS' physical form is immensely durable. Its resilience to harm is a result of carefully-calibrated skeletal construction along with the installation of femto-fluid hyper-malleable plastic skin and muscle, which bends with impacts rather than hardening against them. While its primary programming prohibits duplication of its own intelligence - making the construction of so-called "backup bodies" impossible - AENEAS employs a collection of drones to perform basic tasks and gather information, all of which it can direct remotely using its android brain.
