Raven was born into the Tori No Su (鳥の巣) ninja clan; as required, he would be trained from childhood to walk the path of a ninja. his mother died during birth and his father, who was the leader of the clan, raised him and his older brother, Hato, on his own. As they grew up, their father trained them to become the best that the world would ever see. Every day they trained, their father would tell them the story of “The Sword of the Dragon” and one day, Raven's brother, being the older brother, who was destined to inherit their father's legacy, would possess it. It was kept in their father's trophy room, a room they were never permitted to enter. By now Raven began to hate his brother, because he felt that he should have been the one to take possession of the legendary sword because he considered himself not only a better fighter than his brother, but he also considered himself better than everyone in his clan. One night, he broke into his father's room and grabbed the sword off the wall, but at that moment, his father and Hato walked in and caught him in the act. In responses, Raven took the sword and brawled with his brother. However, their father interfered and as he tried to brake up the fight, Raven accidentally slain him. As he died in Hato's arms, after that, Raven blamed his brother for their father's death and ran off into the night swearing that one day they would meet again.
Raven was 20 years old when he left his clan. Not long after he left, he began studying other martial arts and eventually became an assassin, working for any paymaster who pays him well enough. Although despite living a different life style, he never gave up the ways of the ninjas.
Skills and Abilities
Physically conditioned Raven's speed and acrobatic skills are beyond exceptional, and while his strength may not be as immense as a superhuman, it is strong enough to wield hefty weapons and still maintain his agility. His senses are extremely high beyond the potential of a normal human being and predict an approaching attack. Cognitively he is a tactical fighter and highly calculative in battle. His skills in hand to hand combat and weaponry are at the master level, particularly his swordsmanship skill. He specializes in a martial art known as Tori No Su style Ninjutsu and also studied other martial arts when he left his clan, becoming unbelievably skilled in most known forms of fighting including: Judo, Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu, Karate, and Dragon Style Kung Fu. He is exceptionally proficient in the fighting traditions of a variety of cultures and became advanced with his own individual methods of close quarter combat. As an assassin, he is able to perform the art of assassination better than the average killer and is able to dispatch his victims without as so much as a struggle. Raven also possesses incredibly extensive knowledge and skill in many types and ways of stealth tactics, enabling him to easily slip in and out of areas undetected. His abilities in all manners of stealth are so refined they appear as mere illusions to those who have been lucky to spot him. He can move throughout even the most guarded of areas and act in true discretion.
