Beginning

Nerd alert!

Elgin Dapon was nothing more than a humble young man, a fail romantic with issues with self-esteem and socializing. Because of these features he did not had a whole gallery of friends or at least not anymore contrary to his school years. Everyone he knew after the teen years disbanded and then he realized that all the friends he had were from out of town and he had never made friends in his hometown. Elgin lived in Boriquen in a bad neighborhood; meaning making friends at that age was not likely specially when no one interest the same thing he had interest in. Friends came by but not often, it seemed as a miracle if they did came by. Because of this and the fact that he received a humble income without working he opted for solitude.

But it was not a life choice it was just a temporary solution while he fix certain things in his life. Unlike other loners Elgin used his free time to learn as much as possible in the field of expertise that he interested such as philosophy, writing, laws and other personal interest. He also became quite acquainted with stealth weapons and fire arm as he knew he had not finish school and the only way to get a decent wage without struggle is to become one of uncle Sam’s weapons. But apparently that was not what he was destine to become..At least not yet.

The Koga Ryu:

Koka ryu (Known as Koga in the west)

Koga ryu Ninjutsu was the other Ninja clan of big importance in Japan. It consisted of 53-families and, was most likely founded during the Tenkyo period between 938 and 946. It was after Mochizuki Saburo Kameie won the war against Taira no Masakado that he received a bit of land southeast of the Omo province. The area was called KOGA-GUN. Mochizuki changed his name to Koga Oni No Kami Kameie. It was his son, Oni no Kami Iechika, an impressive military student as well as skilled in the literature arts, who was supposedly to have been the one who founded the Koga ryu. It is said he studied Genjutsu from the Buddhist monk Tatsumaki Hoshi who also lived in the area.

The tradition continued for seven long generations of this family. They went by the names of: Oni no Kami Ienari, Iesada, Ienaga, Iekiyo, Ietoo, Ieyoshi, and Yoshiyasu before it spread to other families like: Mochizuki, Ugai, Naiki, and Akutagawa. To these five head families, the remaining troops from both the northern and southern kingdoms joined the clan during the Namboku war (1335-1395). With the help of the Koga ryu, they grew to 53 families.

Finding the path:

Shinobu

Finding himself without a path Elgin embarked on a quest to the remote locations of Japan. He had learned Japanese when he was younger for he was a fan of feudal Japanese history. Life brought him to a place known as Shiga Prefecture, Japan. There were many shinobi schools around and they all looked very good, in a stereotypical way. But none of them were legit. Sure their trophy room was full of medals and they were quite popular, but they were not real.

Having nothing to loose Elgin decided to fallow the mystic shinobi's stereotype: Ninjas live in remote locations such as mountains away from others in secret. (山伏) He went in a mountain expedition and found nothing. Sick of looking he decided to join the closes thing to a real shinobi. He enrolled in the Ninjutsu school. Merging taijutsu with his own style Elgin became top of the class in a year. This really depressed him for he knew it was all a show. However, without realizing this brought him to the thing that he was looking for in the first place. Elgin was kidnapped from the school after his sensei had asked his presence one night.

Koga shinobu castle

He was taken to a castle where real dedicated ninjas dwell. It was all he was looking for. In this castle he was told that the school was just to pay the bills, food, clothing, and to find talent. Those who reach top of the class are brought to the castle and offered the choice of joining the Koga ryu. They would teach him how to be unbeatable and a force to be recon with at the exchange of his loyalty. Elgin accepted.

Elgin "Marauder" Dapon

Over the years Elgin went through training so rough no normal man could of endured. He was tested to his limits daily by the clan. The training was so devastating on his physic that it triggered an unknown ability he possessed. Elgin had an unknown power known as biofeedback only that his was extremely powerful to the levels of full biological manipulation; And the most interesting part was that it not only work locally in his body but it actually could be applied on others. Further study confirm his tears to be pure poison. Because of this he was baptized as Death (死) or Death's child. 5 years into training Elgin had become one of the school's most precious students. He had been also awarded the tittle: "Marauder" and had been given the honor of been his grandmaster's guardian.

Everything I believe in gone in one night

For years Elgin believed this was it. That was his life's purpose to watch over the Koga shinobi ways and their grandmaster. But that was not the case. After so many years of concealment the Koga had been discovered. Black ops infiltrated the premises and secured a infiltrator who remained unknown. After the mole was secured the black ops team gave the signal to the choppers and with no regret they deployed their missiles toward the castle and Left it to burn. Elgin was the only to survive. As he watch his life going up in the air in aches a loud cry of anger echos across the lands.

A new beginning:

Homeless for a night

Once again without a path to fallow the shinobi found himself in the position of a homeless. He had an emergency back up plan but that was several miles away and in the winter it is impossible to walk such distance without falling on your face from the cold. He had only one choice: Sleep in the street and beg father time to speed up time to reach day light.

Cooping between trash cans with only a box as roof and news paper to cover himself Elgin made it through the night. It was now time to go, but first he must find a way to conceal his appearance. Traveling with ninja weapons and uniform might be a bit too obvious.

Although it was not very honorable Marauder was forced to steal from a nearby apartment He took a trench coat and borrowed some money and left a note. The guardian then hoped on the train which took him as far as Tsuge station in Iga, mie prefecture Japan.

Iga ryu shinobi

The Iga ryu were the sworn rivals of Koga shinobi. Marauder had his share of experiences against this rival clan but that's another story. Right now, at this chapter Marauder was sure that the Iga ryu were the ones who revealed the Koga ryu’s hidden castle. However, knowing that this war have been on for so long it is pointless to seek revenge. His grandmaster was already dead. The death of the enemy wont bring the Koga ryu back. Elgin decided that just as the last authentic Koga ryu clan had been extinguished Marauder should die along with it. It was time to wake up and return to reality. There was nothing for him in Japan. At least nothing he would miss anytime soon. Finding a hidden Koga ryu informant in Iga Marauder grabbed his belongings and borrowed some cash. He was going back to the bright lights, loud noises and steel ruled city of new York to keep busy by starting a lame career. At this point Elgin only knew one thing: If he ever returned to Japan there would be bloodshed.

Back to the light:

Back to all the noise and everything I hate

In new York city Elgin got a job as a express package delivery server. He drove a huge truck and wore a nasty brown uniform. No better way to degrade a shinobu. Elgin worked in the express service for two months before he called it quits and decided that instead of denying his ability as a shinobi he would embrace it and put it to good use. Years back he had achieved a license to become a private investigator and now it was the perfect time to use it.

Elgin Dapon would become fast one of the best detectives in NYC. However, it was not just detective skills but far more. When night falls Dapon would cease to exist and the night guardian ninja: Marauder would take over to be judge, jury and if necessary executioner.

Powers and Abilities:

Marauder

Ultimate biofeedback: Able to manipulate the body's functions at will, including: Healing, heart beating, breathing, oxygen intake, blood pressure, body temperature, memory, eye sight, hearing, smell, touch, mind, Etc. This gives him great awareness of his limitations and probability in success or failure depending on the challenge.

Bio manipulation: Marauder is able to manipulate cells to the letter just as he can manipulate his own body. He can even develop cells and even accelerate any biological process known to man. Including challenging the natural life span of men manipulating all cells, minerals and particles and commanding them to mature faster breaking the laws of nature themselves. All it takes is the will and to touch the person. This makes Marauder a healer and a genetics manipulation. However this ability ca only be applied to others, if applied to one self it could be lethal. The user has just a 19% chances of surviving the self- treatment. Its like a snake eating its own tail. The experience can shutdown his body for good.

Note: Adding to the ability above Marauder can shutdown the Mutant X-gene.. Indefinitely. Any genetic abnormally he can correct it with his ability.

Tears of death: Marauder's tears are deadly and have no cure. One sip and a super-natural death is inevitable. This has given him the title "Death's son"

Mystic shinobu Items:

Cape and Cowl: Marauder's cowl allows him to blend into darkness and become a ghost like entity. In this form he can glide through the air in a dark mist at great speed. It can also be used to glide from one base to another. The cape has manipulative abilities which can be used as a tool to manipulate others to say the truth like WW 's lasso.

Death's tree wooden staff: It is believe to be indestructible, undead.
Maiden's hair Bullwhip daggers: Other than its common abilities such as grappling, and hurting everything that comes across it. Maiden hair gives it extra ability. With its power can destroy spectrum or spirits. The daggers at the end have the same effect. They were made by the legendary Hattori Hanzo himself.
Hand claws: Marauder's claws are made of Japanese steel and were forged by Hattori Hanzo.
Marauder's tears: Small capsules of tears. It contains an incurable poison.

The scroll:
Given to Marauder as a gift for accomplishing a very important mission. It is called the scroll of Sarutobi. This scroll belonged to Sarutobi Sasuke one of Koga's most legendary shinobu. The scroll was believe to hold great power beyond human capabilities. The scroll is believe to posses power from the universe that allows a person to escape. However, the meaning of escape is still in debate. One thing is for sure: Sarutobi Sasuke was never found. Once the scroll it is used it returns to a shrine in Koka.

The scroll's power can only be used once and it has the ability to take flesh and soul through time and space to a new beginning. The user awakes in a random location across the continent with no memory of its past life just very vivid dreams of it. That might have happened to Sarutobi Sasuke.

Ninja tools:

6 inches long black spikes: 10
Black shurikens: 10
Hologram disk: It leaves behind a still image of the user for 10 seconds before it self destructs.
Smoke pellets: creates a smoke cloud.
Dust: It irritates the eyes making the foe go blind

Others may vary depending on situation and will be mention on the rpg post for the role player's awareness of its existence.

World war stage:

When his ninja arts fail all Marauder can say to the oponent is that "Karma is a bitch!" before he returns for a second round in his world war armor stage.

Samson armor

Samson armor: On occasions Marauder has pieces of armor that cover his back, shoulders, wrist and forearm, knees down to the feet and his neck. The armor Is also a mystical item that provides him a great level of strength and skin invulnerability. Bullets do not affect him unless is at pointblank range at an unprotected area.

Hand cannon: One shoots a powerful blast and it is capable of shooting explosive canisters.
The other is a standard machine gun/ shotgun action.
Marauder carries extra ammunition and several grenades as well in this stage.

In this armor, destruction is a must.
