Most Skilled Fighters

Gonna try and rework this list. Just rating the skill of characters not necessarily who would beat the other in a fight. DC characters are generally Post-Crisis and New 52 feats combined, and excluding stories that gave them overpowered amps.

Skill: Fighting Technique, Unique Perception Abilities, Marksmanship, Tactical Application, Senses, and (partially) Speed.

List items

  • His ability to mimic super-strength is kind of non-sense, but he is still a notable character so he's mentioned here.

  • Another cheater here. The combat computer is lodged up his brain so it is essentially a part of him. Without he would be way lower on this list.

  • He's mastered so many martial arts putting his hand-to-hand ability is on another level even without Chi.

  • Sort of a cheater. He can perfectly mimic the Skill of a foe right on the spot. However, this is a natural mental ability of his. He can also still be overwhelmed by a lot of characters below him on this list, but in an ideal situation, he should be more skilled than the foes he faces.

  • In addition to her regular combat abilities Cassandra's mental ability is almost touching on the side of Pre-Cognition. She was born understanding language only through body movements that she can predict the movements of her foes before they even make them much like her mother. She is probably either slightly above Lady Shiva or equal to her in skill.

  • Prometheus doesn't really rely too much on skill as much as he does on his tech. However, he should still be one of the most skilled considering that he's studied and memorized the fighting styles of many of the best martial artists.

  • She's the reason Cassandra has her abilities. She's been regarded as one of the best by some of the best, including Batman.

  • It seems like Batman isn't supposed to be so high when most of the time he's the one doing all the praising. However, time and time Batman's skill level and fighting ability always appears to be way above the likes of many of the martial-artists he's written to praise.

  • You either treat him like Batman's evil counterpart equal in intellect and skill or you put him below for not having all of the feats Batman has amassed over the years. He's placed here because I'd rather highball him than lowball him, and it feels like it makes sense to put him near the character he is supposed to replicate.

  • Even though you'd think skill wouldn't be much of a concern for Logan he's still one of the best. He has some feats that would put him above higher on this list, but he's not as consistent as those above him or below him.

  • Muh nerve strikes

  • Kind of difficult to get a read on her skills, but she should be close to Gamora.

  • If he's not jobbing he can beat a lot of people his abilities provide a massive advantage over other martial-artists. However, the ability to land blows and deal with the other maneuvers of hand to hand combat is not as good as those above him or even a few below him in this list.

  • A lot of people on the Vine seem to think that Cap is somewhere really close to Batman in terms of skill. I think he has a lot of great tactical abilities especially in massive hectic battles that Batman doesn't. However, I think in pure martial arts skill Batman probably has a slight edge on Steve.

  • Often suggested or regarded to be an equal to Cap.

  • I believe Shang-Chi has been a little inconsistent, but from what I can tell he's still somewhere along the best. He possess a lot of great martial arts skills.

  • The Radar Sense is a unique mental skill. Daredevil has been able to counter incoming projectiles because of it. Not to mention Matt's hand to hand combat is one of the best.

  • Constantine Drakon has some insane speeds and reflexes. He put down Connor Hawke without much difficulty. He's likely one of the best in DC. I put him below Daredevil because Matt can do similar things to Drakon maybe not with as much ease, but he can still do it and do even more.

  • Richard Dragon has already potential to be higher up on this list, but his feats aren't as numerous and impressive as other DC martial artists.

  • Once shown to be better than Batman. He's held in high regards and pretty much came close to beating Richard (whether he lost or got stalemated seemed vague to me). I don't think his skill aspect has aged well enough though to the point he can go up against the likes of those above this list.

  • He has a similar ability to Taskmaster, but it's not as intense. Connor can mimic opponents fighting styles and of course use it against them. It makes him formidable, but he's not able to output what those above him can in a fight. His archery skills are also decent though not the best.

  • Okay so Gorgon heavily relies on his powers, but if you try to look at just his swordsmanship and his speed he is still pretty good. It's hard to discern his skill level, but he seems like he still belongs up there.

  • She's one of the best martial artists in DC. She probably wouldn't get past get passed the skill-level of the likes of Connor Hawke or Gorgon.

  • Nightwing has gone through a lot over the years. He's got feats that put him pretty high up there, but he's probably slightly below Dinah in the h2h department.

  • Slade's gear and stats are insane, and he's dependent on them. However, regardless of his dependence on them it still takes a great deal of skill to accomplish what he does. Swordsmanship, marksmanship and martial arts combined he's pretty up their when it comes to skill level.

  • Cain goes mostly by statements along with some impressive but off-panel feats.

  • It's hard to discern his skill level. JPV Azrael has insane stats and equipment, but he has been suggested to be very skilled even if his main assets are his stats and gear.

  • Michael Lane is even more inflated by his Gear and Weaponry. However, he does seem to possess a great deal of ability to regardless of that as well.

  • He's got the hand to hand ability to keep up with Batman even if he is using more lethal means while Batman isn't. He's not going to beat Wildcat in h2h though.

  • Oliver's h2h abilities are not as good as those above him, but combined with his archery skills he's still pretty good.

  • Marksmanship and amazing hand to hand ability combined makes him very skilled.

  • Could be higher tbh

  • He's an inferior Green Arrow, but still very good.

  • Bullseye makes great use of projectiles in all manners of fighting. His aim is one of the best in this list. He fails to be a good h2h combatant though of course. Though his sheer ability to go into a fight against Daredevil proves you don't need just martial arts to be a threat at close range.

  • Ra's has been left in the dust for too long. He used to be a much more fearsome threat, but he's been nowhere as such in recent history.

  • Gambit is another one that's been confusing, but I think his skill can be more discernible than other fighters that use their powers in junction with their martial-arts.

  • Hush is more of a planner, but he can definitely act upon those plans. He certainly has a certain degree of skill when it comes to combat even if it has to be planned before hand.

  • Without the power of Blood Spit.

  • I honestly don't know where Damian should be. I feel like he should be higher, but feats seem to suggest he'd lose to the likes of Barbara Gordon.

  • She is pretty good with her chi, but without it it is a different story.

  • Seriously don't know where to put her. I know she's skilled, but has always relied on her powers with that skill.

  • Relies too much on weaponry, but still possess some degree of skill.

  • Relies too much on his stats and gear. Plus Peter is way too nice. He has insane martial-arts potential but rarely uses it in real combat.

He basically has pre-cognition, which is why his potential is so high.

  • Same story as Spidey.

  • Punisher's skill lies more in his ability to fight like a soldier. Creating miniature wars and havoc by himself with his marksmanship and killing ability. He's more reliant on his tactics then his actual skills though. I wish I could put him higher, but martial arts probably requires more skill to be good at than marksmanship.

  • Probably best swordsman in Marvel, but lacks in other areas of CQC.

  • Limited to mainly marksmanship. Though his aim is probably the best of anyone on this list.

  • More accurate than Green Arrow, but weak on the h2h similar to Deadshot.

  • Too much on stats.

  • Too much on gear.

  • Don't know how much TP should count as apart of skill level. I'm not going to count it as big of a factor as it is. TK is excluded so Grifter isn't making it that high up.
