Early Biography

In the early years of the second age, there were very few populations of the long-lived Elves on Aetharia; most choosing to make due on off-shore islands or take a ship to Vaesir to be with more of their kind. Still, some packs of Elven blood still lingered on the war-ridden continent, overcoming the adversity of the native humans. A White-Elf by the name of Sinderion was one such lad, he and his brother Calder surviving in the North-West.

Unable to find much kinship among the men of Frostfall, the two brothers eventually fell in with the Dwarves of "Lhune Kazad" (Crescent Fortress) in the colder areas of the Dwarven territories. Though tougher and a good bit more strict than their tinker-headed cousins, the Dwarves showed no disdain for more help around the fort and gave the two shelter in exchange for work.

The brothers lived the quaint life for a few good months before the barbarians of Frostfall went to war with the Dwarves. Being so close to the border, Lhune Kazad was one of the first fortresses to fall under siege. The brothers had grown attached to the place, and id their best to help in the battle; sadly, their elven frost magic did little against the hardened natives. It eventually became clear that the fort was lost, and escape was the number one priority.

The Dwarves had old mining tunnels beneath the fortress, but the place was becoming more and more packed with enemies by the second. After a grueling fight to the tunnel entrance, only a few dwarves accompanied the brothers. To assure the captain of the fortress and his brother Calder could escape, Sinderion and what remained of the Dwarven guards stayed to hold off the Vikings.

They fought for a time, but eventually submitted to the overbearing numbers. Most of the dwarves were sold into slavery, but when the barbarians came across the lone White Elf their eyes seemed to greedily light up. They loaded the captured Sinderion onto the back of a mammoth and took on a long, bumpy, violent journey across the continent.

After what seemed like weeks on the side of the mammoth's smelly rear, the journey ended and he was thrown onto the mucky swamp of Shadowvale. Apparently necromancers were paying quite high for elven test subjects; trying to unlock the keys to immortality. The details of the ritual are... better left obscured. All that is needed to be known is that Sinderion's soul was painfully being extracted, for the purpose of "experimentation".

Thankfully, the White Elf's heroism came back to rescue him, as a band of Dwarven rangers led by his brother Calder interrupted the ritual; slaying the necromancer and his undead minions. Unfortunately, the group was unable to cease the ritual before his soul was left untethered in the world; incorpeal, and slowly fading away. Working quickly, they led the specter of their friend north to the western cities of the more technologically-adept dwarves.

A enchanted metal skeleton was forged, and with the aid of priests Sinderion's soul was successfully transferred into the golem; and with it's enchantments, he was at least able to use his spiritual abilities. The ethereal's brother Calder left for Vaesir the next day, unable to deal with the situation. Afterwards, Sinderion became one of the first political figures in the newfound Clockwork Legion; and eventually, he became to Archmancer of the forces.
