In search of a mysterious artifact known as "the Mask of Ancients," Edward finds himself exploring an island rife with enemy soldiers. Dispatching them one after the other, Kenway makes his way across the island only to finally come upon a band of soldiers who were seemingly successful in finding the mask.
Digging it up from under a large and twisted palm tree, a old chest was uncovered...covered unfamiliar glyphs markings. They opened the chest...the mask! The leader of the soldiers took charge, and the others fell back. He grabbed it.
Upon touching the mask the sun began to recede in the clouds, and the ground began to quake. All of a sudden an ominous chantey could be heard on the wind... The wind became brisk, and the atmosphere became heavy. From the ground a portal opened, and through it an eerie green light emerged...
Spinal, armed with his fabled living shield and ancient Babylonian sword, howled in a ghastly fashion just before reveling in the blood of the band of soldiers. Kenway seeing all this just wanted to turn and run...but he needed the Mask. Dropping from the tree tops, Kenway addresses the ghostly skeleton...
"Give me the mask you won't be hurt," he said in voice full of bravado and bluster.
Spinal, bones creaking and chattering, gave Kenway an inquisitive look, but simply stood his ground and howled again. Eyes burning with a bright greenish hue, the island transformed to reveal more spirits, all tending to seemingly "ordinary" tasks...all chanting the same sea chantey: Spinal...Spinal...Spinal...
"Great," Edward said under his breath, and he braced for Spinal's attack...
