Plus, Laura may have her own healing factor going on for her, but it's not as fast as Logan's (dead Logan, not Old Man). It would make sense for someone like Laura, who gets hurt a lot, and heals much faster than others, but not quite as fast as her namesake, to wear body armor to lessen the impact.

This is one of my favorite comic book characters ever. Back when he had his pre-52 series, he was basically DC's Spider-Man; a poor, down-on-his-luck teenage superhero whose horrible luck, but charming personality and clever mind managed to get him both out of, and into trouble. There's him, and there's Static, and since Milestone's going to be (apparently) doing their thing with Static, I'm going to run over anyone who gets in my way over to the comic shop to pick this up. I've already asked them to put one aside for me since, as it's a one-shot, it can't be put on a pull list.

@teerack: in the death of superman (new 52 superman) lana and lois somehow got super powers. lois got superman's standard power while lana got the superman red/blue power. and in the first issue lois died
What? So... Lois isn't Superwoman? That really sucks I was interested in that. :c I like the idea of Lana being Superwoman Red/Blue.
With the first issue's cover art, a lot of people thought it was going to be a Superwoman book with Lois as the lead, and Lana as back-up. Then the writers (unexpectedly) killed off Lois in the first issue, and subsequently revealed that SPOILER: Lois and Lana's new powers were killing them, and since Lois is gone, it looks like Lana might be going her way.
You should check out some of the DC Rebirth titles. DC has been killing it lately with stuff like Batman Beyond, Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes and Ted Kord), New Super-Man (arrogant, young Chinese boy is given Superman's life force, his chi basically, by a scientist looking to create a Justice League for China), and so many others. They're actually bringing back pre-52 Lobo (who's revealed to have always been around), Max Lord (the dick who killed Ted Kord), and the Justice League of America (Lobo, The Ray (Ray Terrill), The Atom (Ryan Choi), Black Canary, Vixen, Killer Frost and Batman). I'd also recommend the Justice League of America: The Atom one-shot.

Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Misty Knight (the inverse version of what you're claiming is the norm), Alex Wilder and Nico Minoru, Iceman and half the people he's dated (Opal Tanaka, for example), Wolverine and Mariko (Canadian and Japanese), Julio Richter and Shatterstar (Mexican and Caucasian).
There are multiple examples. This is just the latest edition of them stirring the pot with a teen romance.
