No she belongs in the X-MEN. And theres no way for her to legally be used in the MCU as her Avenger membership occurred years after Fox bought the film rights. Her long history with Ms. Marvel doesn't make it possible for her to be in the MCU either, it was revealed that Wolverine partnered with Captain America during WWII multiple times but he still can't be used in the MCU.

Hasn't there been talks in the past about characters such as Wolverine or Rogue, who first appeared outside of the X-Titles possibly being able to appear in the MCU. We did get Quicksilver in both the MCU & X-Flims. It is a slippery slop as to who wholly owns the movie rights to some of these characters. After all, the Inhumans are somewhat tied to the Fantastic Four & we see where their cinematic home is. And Lady Deathstrike & Silver Samurai both appeared in DD comics before battleing Wolverine but they have appeared in X-Films & not MCU films.

Anyone else think we may see Rogue cross over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe sooner or later? She did make her first appearance in the Avengers comic and she has ties to Carol Danvers/ Captain Marvel. She has been reduced to minimal or no screen time in recent & upcoming X-men films and in the comics, she did not leave with the other mutants, instead she has been taking a central role in an Avengers title for quite some time... it does seem like a possibility.

Aside from Storm in the X-Men franchise and Blade (who was last seen in 2004), there aren't any prominent black superheroes currently on the big screen

Nope, no War Machine, no Falcon, no Bishop, No Nick Fury, No Perry White, No Darwin, no solo Catwoman (ewww), no Frozone. Storm & Blade are the only prominent black superheroes currently on the big screen. And no black villains either. Nope, no Electro. SMH...

@anjon: This costume is also being criticized because it looks bad and there was a better one designed by Fabok.

Hell! There were better ones designed by Finch! Did you see the 2 page work in progress spread in the back of WW#41?

Personally I think the reason DC changed the costume is because her original costume is basically the America flag.

DC and Marvel of late have tried to steer clear of being patriotic and this is their way of removing the American flag and the American symbol from her.

The new costume looks more patriotic than the original New 52 look or the current JL look.

1.This doesn't take away from my second point.

2.How is this more patriotic? Her costume before was just the American flag, with abit of gold added.

Added: The American flag has bright blue, which previously her costume had, however now it is dark blue, thus does not look like the American flag at all anymore.

Which costume looks more like this image?

I HATE the new design but with a little tweaking it can be bearable...

I kinda felt the story was lacking & as I feared, it looks like the contest has been removed from Diana's origin along with the mystical clay origin. She has been neutered of much of what made her unique. :((

Pinocchio, adam, Frankenstein, golems

let's stop pretending the clay origin was actually unique shall we

Thor, Herakles/ Hercules, (God forbid) Xena. This is what Diana has been reduced to. It has been done in other high profile comic already. Part of what made Diana different was that she was a female warrior from a race of females, no male needed to create her. Just a mother, some clay, & the goddesses (plus Hermes). The contest gave her a reason other than being boy crazy/ stir-crazy to leave the island. Now she is the bastard child of Zeus, like so many, who was not happy at home so she jump the first man she saw & hightailed it outta paradise!

A year ago there was a whiteboard tease that Donna, Wally, & Stephanie would be showing up in various comics. Both Stephanie & Wally, for better & for worse, have shown up, but no Donna. Then we get a peek at Action Comics: Futures End #1 & it looked like Donna would show up there. Nope, wrong! Now, with the release of Multiversity: The Just he have yet another slap in the face to Donna fans. Last month promo art was released of Donna as she would appear in The Just; however, after reading the comic I cannot seem to find her anywhere in the book!!! We have a brief appearance of Artemis as Wonder Woman & we see Cassie as a ravened wigged Wonder Girl in one panel, but no Donna! What gives? It also appears there will be no Donna in the Teen Titan; Earth One coming out in November. So, is DC really being so cruel to Donna fans or is there a deeper reason for all of these misleading Donna teases? What if Donna is to play a large role in the upcoming Crisis event & all these false promises are to show just how special & unique Donna is in the multiverse. Perhaps, she exists only on one earth & does not have any alternate versions. Another theory I had was she is the person talking to the Anti-Monitor after Forever Evil.
