Didn't predestination and what we do in the shadows come out 2014?

Otherwise. this was a very nice and original list. I'm glad its not a generic, please-everyone list of films and that there're films like anomalisa, slow west and me earl and the dying girl mentioned. Respect!

I've heard a lot of great things about The Stanford Prison Experiment and the trailer really had me sold. I'm definitely checking it out soon.

  1. Rey/Finn vs Kylo Renn
  2. Obi Wan/Qui Gonn Jin vs Darth Maul
  3. Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader (Empire Strikes Back)
  4. Finn vs Melee Storm Trooper
  5. Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader (Return of the Jedi)

All brilliant.

Obi Wan vs Anakin on Mustafar was WAYY too overly choreographed. Excluding that, the entire fight felt like empty spectacle and at a point started getting silly.

@the_stegman: I just looked it up and articles said it's not an actual musical comedy, but it does have musical comedy elements.

Excited again?

Watched a total of 31 films this year (yes, i'm a cinephile) and, if we're going by US release, i still need to see more; The Hateful Eight, Anomalisa and The Big Short are the main top 3 contenders left.

Atm, my top 3 would be Steve Jobs, Mad Max and Star Wars, followed by The Revenant and MI5: Rogue Nation. Steve Jobs was bloody amazing, and I doubt the remaining films i still need to see will top it.

I really liked Ex Machina and Slow West as well. The latter's getting so little recognition it pains me.

I'd say i'm excited for all the main blockbusters coming out this year. Civil War, Deadpool and Suicide Squad would top that list, with me only being cautiously optimistic about BvS and X-men. Otherwise, my most anticipated would include:

Hail, Caesar!

It's the Coen brothers. 'Nuff said. If that isn't enough look at the cast: josh brolin, ralph feinnes, george clooney, tilda swinto, scarlet johannson and that's only some. Can't wait.

The Nice Guys

Watch. The. Trailer. Shane Black, Russell Crow and Ryan Gosling are gonna make an awesome combination. But watch the trailer, seriously.

Assassins Creed

Justin Kurzel and Fassbender definitely proved they make awesome work together, what with Macbeth from this year. And who hasn't been dying to see this game finally come to the screen? It has the absolute perfect premise to adapt to film.
