It's been a while since we've seen Professor X, and his last story arc with Shaw and Mr Sinister was pretty lame.

So, will he reappear for the Avengers vs X-men storyline? Should he?

I honestly think he should stay out of it for the moment. I wouldn't want him to choose sides nor would I want to see him influence the outcome of this event.

He was shown in some artwork for issue 6 standing in front of Magneto. It was posted with a interview about AvX so it looks like he's going to appear, but not just yet.

I sure hope so. Accepting that the Professor hasn't always been around (stylistically removed for some story purposes) I much prefer the X mythos with him in it. So hopefully it's true.

I hope he comes back so he would be the one to unite the X-Men together again. He's been out of the stories for too long and I really want him to come back to the X-Men stories again.

He has been shown as part of a team of X-Men that Wolverine will lead later in the story arc.

I hope he returns officially after AvX, Mutant kind needs him more than anything right now.
