Star Comics was run by L.B. Cole, a man who put great faith in bright colors and striking cover designs. A typical Star issue would have an eye-opening surreal coverr in swiriling black and orange and green, and included work from Jay Disbrow, L.B. Cole, Ken Battefield, George Peltz, Rudy Palais, Vera Henkel, and Howard Larsen. Collects Spook #22-26 (January 1953 to October 1953).
