The colors and gender combination of the rangers have been pretty set in stone, and there has been some change here and there, but most of the combinations have remain the same. 

We have colors that females have never donned (Black, Green, and Red [technically yes there has been some female reds, but they were in minor roles, Kaoru in Shinkenger/Charlie in SPD A-Squad Red])...
And a single color that males have never donned (Pink)...
 
Do you think that males will ever be a Pink ranger and a female be  Black/Green/Red? Why or why not? Do you think they'll ever add the color purple!? lol
I personally think they should have a male pink ranger, and female red/green/black.  We've seen how kick@$$ a female red could be, the A-Squad girl was awesome even if she was evil...and Kaoru was fantastic in red if anyone seen Shinkenger...and I think males can be Pink...most of the stunt work for pink are from males lol

I think I can safely say they will never have a male pink ranger, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a female wearing some of the "male" colors.

why no male pink though?  The reason I thought of this is because while watching Shinkengers, I remember that everyone on the team thought that Mako's(the pink shinkenger) father was the previous pink ranger (but it was actually her mother lol) and they seem pretty ok with it.   I know its definitely unorthodox, but I think it could happen someday lol

There needs to be a female red ranger, and i want the color purple dammit. lol

In the Japanese version most yellow rangers were male.

Yeah  multi-sex colors have been Yellow (the most abundant), White, and Blue.
