Bring me back a Toaster
Now, just to get you into the picture, this is the first copy of 'Power Girl' that i've ever picked up. I happen to come by it in my comic book store right after watching G-man's review of the it, and decided to give it a read, and loved it ( well maby loves to strong a word, but you get my meaning (right?)). I can't really say much that hasn't been said in G-man's review, and i can't connect it to previous issues due to what i've just mewntioned, but i'll give it my best.
The first few pages are trully slap stick in nature, with some good humoure that isn't forced down in our faces, and the movement from one panel to the next is brilliant, and really adds to the humoure. When it comes down to the action theres no stale or static moment, there always seems to be movement. Not to mention the fight between Power Girl and Satanna is quite intresting concidering that Satanna's Hammer............... ( sowy, no spoiler here :) )
Ammanda Conner's drawings are fantastic, and i enjoyed the different facial expressions given to Karen/PG are pricless, and Paul Mounts colouring for this issue trully go hand in hand with the art style.
Theres not much more i can say without trying to finde some back issues and catching up on all the goings on in PG's series, but what i can say is that it's an excelent read and worth your time.
Plus the walking talking Rhinos reminde me of the Rhinocs in 'Spyro year of the dragon' which is always good :)
