Yet Another Good Issue 1

Power Girl is just a fun book. Judd Winick is one of those writers who can inject a lot of good humor into a story without sacrificing action and drama. On the art side, Sani Basri does a fantastic job matching the story tone for tone with appealing action scenes and some great facial expressions.  Power Girl's investigation of Max Lord, though she keeps forgetting that is who she is chasing, leads her to the labs of New Cadmus and Professor Ivo. Oh Power Girl.  Just when I think things are headed in an undesirable direction, you manage to right the ship.  Yeah, I hadn't reviewed the last couple of issues of Power Girl because, honestly, I couldn't get excited about them either positively or negatively.  They were both pretty... meh filler issues that kinda cancelled one another out as far as story progression.  However, Power Girl's 20th issue is a return to what makes reading about this Kryptonian power-house so much fun.  Power Girl h...

Synopsis: PG takes on New Cadmus. What's good? Poor Karen. She hadn't caught a break under Winick's writing. Don't get me wrong, Winick's serious approach to the series and making it a somewhat tie-in to Generation Lost has been great so far. This is no exception with this issue.
