One problem after another for PG.
Its bad enough that Power Girl's company might be going bankrupt, but how do you stop an alien like cyborg from destroying New York? And thats not her only problem after its over.
Pros:
This issue focuses more on Power Girl trying to stop Crash from destroying New York. Judd Winick gives PG some more personality when it comes to her fighting Crash with the dialouge, the same goes with Crash. Besides using her strength to fight Crash, PG uses her brain when to find a weakness to him. There's a couple of surprises also with this issue, such as the appearance of Maxwell Lord who, thanks to his memory wipe two issues ago, Powergirl doesn't recognize.
The artwork shines again in this issue mostly because of the fight scenes. Sami Basri is really making Power Girl his own with his style of artwork that almost make me forget Amanda Conner's artwork. I really liked the two page panel of Power Girl fighting Crash in the duration of 1 hour which brings some imagination to it. In some ways, its easy to miss some of the noticeable things such as the way the sky starts getting dark as the sun sets and the facial expressions of Power Girl while she's fighting Crash. I got to commend Sunny Gho's coloring.
Cons:
When thinking about it, it is amazing that nobody else at Starrware found out PG's identity till now, with the excuses Karren provided so far in this series. Its amazing that Clark can be Superman and work at the Daily Planet without anyone noticing, and yet, with the situation at the time, I guess its not that hard to put two and two together with Karen and PG as Nicolas did. It will be interesting though to see how PG will get out of this situation compared to issue 10 with Fisher.
Overall: Its one dilemma after another for Power Girl as she must deal with another problem with Nicolas finding out her identity. Another interesting fact is that Batman will be showing up in next issue as well. Despite how short this arc was, Judd Winick is quickly picking up where Jimmy Palmiotti left off. I'm looking forward to the next issue.
