Power Girl has met her match.

Story: The story starts off with Power Girl getting beaten to a pulp by somehting big and purple and she is losing baddly. But that doesn't come until later, right now she is getting beaten to a pulp financial wise. Kara's whole business is getting taken over and she has lost all control because a former worker Donna stole 50 million dollars. Randall Mikavic is making arms deals. He wants to buy this weapon that can destroy an entire city but the supplier doesn't know exactly what it does. It accidentally opens and it is a bio weapon. Tentacles come flying out and grab on to Randall's face. Booster asks Kara if she remembers Max Lord yet and she doesn't. Power Girl gets an emergency call saying that three warehouses have been destroyed so she flies over. She scans through the remains of a warehouse that is still in tact and she spots someone still inside. It's Randall in a robot form. He is taking his anger out and is destroying the buildings. Power Girl tackles him and tries to stop him, but he only gets stronger and bigger. She starts getting pulverized and things do not look good.
Writing: I am pretty impressed with the new team on Power Girl. They have made this story still enjoyable and I like it. What I also love is how Justice League Generation Lost is being brought into this series. I think that is such a great idea and they didnt have to label this series under Brightest Day to incorporate Generation Lost.
Characters: I love Kara so much, but I do have a little problem. I would like to see some of Kara's social life and maybe friends. I feel like we are just focusing on her work life and super hero life.
Dialogue: I think Kara has such witty dialogue and that's what I love about it.

    Art: I love it.
Cover: I some mixed emotions about the cover. I thought the art was good on the cover although it shows her strong and invincible but in this issue she is beaten so badly.
Penciling: I really like the penciling in this issue except for Kara's face in some panels.
Coloring: I think the colors are soft and I really love it.

    Favortie pages and why.
1 and 2: It showed that Power Girl can take a beating.
8: I just thought it was a cool scene.
9: I love when Generation Lost is brought into this story.
15-21: An amazing fight scene to finish the issue.

Reasons to and not to pick up.
    Reasons to pick up:
The writing and art is very good and this is a great team they have on this series.
Reasons not to pick: I did have a problem with Kara's face in some panels and the cover is misleading. Also I would like to see more of Kara's social life.
Verdict: Pick it up. 4 out of 5.

Even Power Girl has bad days 0

Power Girl have seen better days. A friend of hers rob her company blind leaving it bankrupt, and Kara (like almost everyone in the superhero department) loses their memory on who Maxwell Lord is. Oh, and she has to save New York. That's nothing new right?  Pros:   Life can't always go Power Girl's way, and this issue proves this somewhat. Kara is frustrated knowing that her company is in bankrupt thanks supposedly by Donna, someone who Kara trusted. Not only that, but she has to stop this uniqu...

Speedy review:  This is issue number 2 of the Winick/Basri run on Power Girl and I, who was a huge fan of the previous team, am happy to say that this creative team is killin' it!  I will start off with a huge resounding plea for all to go pick up this series.  Those of you who avoided it previously because of the lack of connection to current DC happenings this book is tied in to Generation Lost.  Not so much that you would have to buy that if you didn't want to though.  Also, those wh...
