Charizard. Ash's Pikachu is only broken in relation to other Pikachus.

Pikachu should be the best but loses to low level trainers and gym leaders when it should be beyond that level from all its experience and battles. In battle it's probably Charizard or Greninja, and I favour Greninja for the Ash-Greninja transformation, its near defeat of Mega Charizard X in their second battle were it not for the state timing out and nearly beating Diantha's Mega Gardevoir.

I think Sceptile was pretty impressive, though I can see why people would say Pikachu or Charizard.

depends on how you define strongest. Through physical strength then snorlax. Probably most well rounded then charizard or pikachu when they arent jobbing.

@lvenger: Defeated Darkrai. I know, Darkrai was weakened because of Heracross, but still, he managed to finish Darkrai off.

Unless Batman lets him.

@wastelandman: More likely scenario is Batman capturing Ash and evolving him into Robin.

@lvenger: He tied with May's Blaziken in a contest (clearly a contest is more than a battle, but it was still the battle portion with a type disadvantage). Sceptile also apparently did well against Tobias's Darkrai (I haven't seen the episode).

Wouldn't it be Greninja? IIRC, it can stand more or less toe to toe or even beat a Mega Charizard (who has taken on the Elite 4, even taking out a few of their Pokémon IIRC, and beaten quite a lot of Mega Pokémon), and it was also doing very well against the champion's Mega Gardevoir and may have even won if plot didn't come into play.

Also, Ash's Noivern (who I'm pretty sure Greninja is stronger than) was actually beating a Zapdos, even weakling it to the point that it got captured (and then rescued from) by Team Rocket.

Although, this is what I've heard, I haven't seen the episodes, so I could be mistaken.

Greninja seems to be considered Ash's strongest pokemon right now.

Yeah I was going to mention the context but I suppose beating a Legendary is a decent showing.

Yeah it did but Ash had weakened Darkrai first with Heracross whose type is effective against Darkrai.

First time for everything, this thread just caught my fancy.

^I wouldn't say Darkrai was weakened, it was barely fazed by that megahorn attack, and even if it did do any damage Darkrai finished Heracross off with Dream Eater, a move that restores HP.

And on topic, I think his strongest Pokemon are Charizard, Greninja, Sceptile, Pikachu, Infernape, and Krookodile.

iunno anymore since i don't watch cut and paste tv shows.

Pokemon game effects dont really apply to the anime, Will O Wisp was essentially Fire Blast for instance
