Poetry Comix #12 breaks new ground by including a piece written by the artist himself. Of course, famous figures like Emily Dickinson, William Carlos Williams, Robert Frost, Rumi, and Kabir are also present.

Poetry Comix' posts for Pride Month, which includes pieces written by Lord Byron, Sappho, Oscar Wilde, and Marguerite Radclyffe Hall, make up the rest of the issue.

Another highlight is an excerpt from Heinrich Hoffmann's brutal children's book 'Der Struwwelpeter'.
