G-Man, Babs and Red L.A.M.P. talk about the Avengers movie, Megan Fox fixing motorcycles, Spawn, James Franco in college, purple pants on scientists and Whitney Houston's "The Bodyguard" soundtrack.
a few podcasts ago g-man was talking about the inception of comicvine, and i think Red L.A.M.P. brought up how you met in highschool? idk but i would love to hear how the two of you first met and your first impressions of one another, and if there were any kind of friction between the two of you, and a backstory of your highschool lifestyles and the origin of your alter egos
Everyone sounded pretty damn tired on this one! lol
I have to agree on the Deadpool #900 cover wraparound, although I think I honestly like the regular cover better. I also like the way that Deadpool is drawn for that.
Also, Transformers 2 was HORRIFIC! If I wanted to see a movie where they talked about people's balls and scrotum every ten minutes (and I'm not kidding that...count every ten minutes)...then I'd watch Superbad!!!
ALSO ALSO...G-Man is right. There isn't TECHNICALLY "Rambo 2". LAMP, I'm a HARDCORE Rambo fanatic, and ALL of those are "films". GREAT movies, and TONS of stuff to be said in those flicks...despite all the blood and gore. The fifth...is just gonna be stupid!!!
Great podcast as usual. Its hilarious how porn or sex as a topic seems to occur but naturally in discussion. Its like great comedic timing. I probably wouldn't rent items that even has the suggestion of being... ah... sticky... seems to be an appropriate word. *heh*
@T.M.O.E.:
I wouldn't mind hearing about the early years of the staff before CV either. It'd be cool to hear about the *da-dumm* origins of the staff. Did ya like high school or college? Any writing or drawing in high school or college? Were comics the main source of interest that formed a friendship? Seems like it'd be great stuff.
If comics went completely digital then wouldn't people be stealing them off the Internet like they do with songs and hurt the industry. And reading comments for a comic book isn't a big selling point for me allot of people who hate comics and the creators seem to spend an awful lot of time reading them.
Get Stephen Speilberg or James Cameron to do the Avengers :)
The first 2 seasons of Spawn was great, but the 3 rd season was somewhat dull. So you didn't miss much G-Man.
Tobey isn't bad as Spidey and he was starting to grow on me until I saw Spider-Man 3,then that went away ha ha. I always thought that Milo Ventimilgia would be a great Parker and when Liv Tyler was younger I thought she would've been a good MJ.
Would be kind of sweet to see Demogoblin but it will never happen though.
I think Eric Bana is a top notched actor in my mind. I thought he was great in Chopper,Troy,Munich,Star Trek and Black Hawk Down.
And I hope they rethink that idea of the genetically altered soldiers idea with Rambo, and come up with something thats more of a realistic problems like RAMBO dealt with in Burma.
Great podcast guys and guyette mostly right about everything as usual.Pleasantville was awesome althougth Toby was far from the best character in that movie i loved Reese Witherspoon,William H Macy and the lady who played his wife.More talk about Road House awesome though you wouldn't want your daughters to see this movie either.I have always liked Alex Ross' art and I love the art in Cry for Justice but I couldn't say one is better than the other they are both wonderful and unique,Ross's art feels classic while the Cry for Justice art is more contemporary.The only way for multiple villains to work in a spidey movie is either a very brief appearance for one villain(lets say the movie opens with spidey chasing down and capturing the vulture or shocker) and then just continue the story with a major villain it's basically just a cameo or you could do a story with the Sinister Six however Spiderman 2 will be the best one and that likely will never change until a new cast is brought onboard.And that's all I have to say about that.
@Archetype: I've always wanted to see the movie cuz I love "Across The Universe" (by the Beatles) and Fiona Apple did a decent cover of it. Yeah, the music is what makes me want to see it. But obviously not enough since I still haven't.
