At around 1:30 or so...did I just hear Babs say "f*** yeah!"?!  If so...AWESOME!!!  Also, I think I have the most creative answer to the question...so did I win?

Man, I love the Comicvine Podcast theme tune.
I'd love to go to a Comic-Con in my lifetime! In England, there's never any Comic-Cons. Damn it!
I'm still dead envious of Babs for getting to meet STAN LEE!!! Babs get's to talk to the best comic book writers, Geoff Johns, Jim Lee, Stan Lee etc. Good going, Babs!

WHY does Babs make a point of stating she doesn't care for Linda Carter and that she's "not all that"?  Even if she doesn't like her why say it?

This is where I defend Linda Carter and the cheesy Wonder Woman TV show.  Yes it was awful in many aspects.  However, it brought attention to Wonder Woman like never before and Linda Carter brought a level of sexiness to both Diana Prince and Wonder Woman that was unexpected but appreciated by many a person, women included.  I have a female friend who LOVED that show and "Mighty Isis", these were great because they were amongst the first female super heroes on TV.

I don't get it Babs.  Don't hate ya, but don't understand your hate for Linda Carter.

I do NOT want Beyonce as Wonder Woman.  It is NOT "racist" to want Wonder Woman be Caucasian or at least part Caucasian.  Guess what?  Linda Carter is actually Hispanic so I can live with it, but a black female as Wonder Woman--NO.  Yes, Beyonce has the build.  Yes she's  "amazon" in her appearance as Red L.A.M.P. pointed out.  While it might just be an actor or just a role this is a case where the character is TOO iconic for anyone like Beyonce to portray her.   People recognize her as being Greek/Caucasian.  Like G-Man said, if a Caucasian actor were picked to play Luke Cage we'd be hearing A LOT of complaints and a real strong backlash.

The average person who knows Wonder Woman would say, "Beyonce as Wonder Woman?  NO."  "Nuff said.

On a lighter note, glad to hear ComicVine is growing, I hope it continues that path I love the site, please keep up the good work.

LOL, Laurence Fishburne playing Othello?!?  Red L.A.M.P.!?!?  Really?  Othello is a black character. In fact the fact that Othello is black and Desdemona is white is the core element of the story.  Othello's insecurity about his inter-racial relationship and Iago's ability to play on those fears to inflame those fears is what ultimately undoes him. It is also the fact Othello is black and hold such a high station that Iago plots sets out to plot against.

Love of the written word should extend to books as well as comic books.

That said Red L.A.M.P. and Babs great job as always.

I am not sure why Babs is calling out Linda Carter but I would call her out because she played Wonder Woman as a weak character.  Her wonder woman to often needed to be saved or pretended to be weak we the real WW wouldn't or shouldn't.

Also, your comment is a little racist because guess what Beyonce is as much white as she is black.  Every light skinned black person actually has mix of white and black in their family whether they know it or not. Keep in mind to the WW comes a part of the area of the world, Mediterranean where the Caucasian and Africa cultures meet and and have been exchanging blood since before the birth of civilization.  Why do you think people from Latin countries like Spain, Italy and Greece often have darker hair and a tan complexion?  It started long before the Moors invaded.

It's not all like having a Black Superman or Asian Spiderman.  It's well within plausible and reasonable given the characters back story.

Snipes wanted to be Black Panther first and when that fell through he decided to do Blade.  Probably for the best.
