Platinum and Mercury are both members of the Metal Men. Technically, Mercury and Platinum are friends. However, Mercury quite often issues stinging remarks towards the ute Platinum robot. He even tells Doc at times that he should dump Tina (Platinum) and start over with her or use even use her as scrap metal. It appears as if Mercury may be secretly in love with Tina and that he is quite jealous of the fact that Tina loves Doc.
Rex was transformed into Metamorpho while in an Egyptian Pyramid. Metamorpho teamed up with the Metal Men in Brave and Bold # 66.

Robby Reed was the first user of the H-Dial device and used it to become a variety of superheroes and fight evil, until he split himself in to two beings, becoming the hero known as the Wizard and the villain called the Master. Eventually he was fused back to together with help from Vicki Grant and Chris King.

Apparently Doc Will Magnus made an error when he created Platinum. Nor only does she has display emotions just like a human female, but the girl robot is deeply in love with him. She often kisses him or wraps herself around him and she frequently tells Doc how much she cares for him. For some reason though, Doc fails to respond to the girl robot's advances. Nevertheless, Platinum loves him anyway.
