    The Plastic Prince

There are two fun stories in this issue.  One issue features a city where everyone but Woozy Winks obtaining powers similar to Plastic Man in "Plague of Plastic People", while "Dopi Island" is a story where Woozy Winks becomes king of an Island for a few days.  Both stories are fun and both stories are great examples of Jack Cole's imagination.

Plague of Plastic People is the better of the two stories, partly because it is longer then Dopi Island, but also is is a wild tale where Cole is shaping normal people into odd and wacky shapes.  There is an innocent, but also a artistic perversion of some of the ways Cole draws this plastic pandemic.  I also liked that even if others could shape themselves like the plastic prince, they still were not as special as he is.

Dopi Island is a quick read and is a tale where Wozzy is king because he looks like the real king and is a substitute to be assassinated instead of the real king.  It was nice to see Woozy on his own, but the story was short and without Plas, something was missing.

Overall fun stuff and another great example of classic cartooning, presented by one of comics all time masters in Jack Cole.  both stories were reprinted in Jack Cole and Plastic Man - Forms stretched to their limits.

    Cheers
