History

Pharyngula, harvester of stillborn souls, had been trapped in the Rock of Eternity a long time ago. He was later released from that by a group of pregnant women performing a ritual using a fragment of the destroyed Rock of Eternity. Mary Marvel, who was still getting used to new powers given to her by Black Adam, was in the area and immediately engaged him in battle, only for him to be knocked unconsious by a thunder sent by Lord Marvel (Billy Batson). He was later apprehended by the authorities.

Powers

In the short time he appeared, Pharyngula displayed super strength and durability enough to survive being hit by a car thrown to him by Mary Marvel.
