This article is about the "original" Peredur created for Seven Soldiers of Victory.

    Origin

Born in ancient Camelot, Peredur joined King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table. At some point he bore witness to the Holy Grail, which blinded him.

    Creation

Peredur was created by Grant Morrison and Simone Bianchi. He made his first appearance in Seven Soldiers: Shining Knight #1. He is heavily based on the figure of Percival from Arthurian legend.

    Major Story Arcs

    Seven Soldiers of Victory

Peredur fights alongside Arthur and his fellow knights against the Sheeda when they invade and begin to harrow Camelot. He survives the initial invasion and retreats underground for a time with the remaining knights. He joins his fellows in creating an atom bomb to end the corrupted reign of Mordredd the Dead. He dies in the explosion, or soon after.

    Powers and Abilities

Peredur is an "optimum human;" as such he is extremely strong and durable. He is also very skilled in armed and unarmed combat. He possesses enhanced senses, possibly as a result of having been blinded.

    Weapons and Equipment

Peredur wields a two-handed sword. He wears armour, which protects him against blunt force injury.
